Chapter 8
7:42 A.M.
"You guys are alive! Hugs!" Jayna exclaimed, extending her arms out to Riley and Steve.

"Oh, never mind you guys are splattered," she refunded.

Riley handed two fuel tanks to Queen. "Enough for probably two weeks."

"So, Queen, what's our next move?" asked Haru. Queen pondered, "I really don't know. For once can you guys throw in ideas? Geez, I'm not your ultimate planner."

Kimmie spoke, "Maybe we can head to my place. I'm pretty sure there's tools there."

The crew was stopped by an abandoned building that was never finished being built. It had been missing doors and one wall. They parked inside its garage, which was the one part missing its wall. It was getting late. They spent so much time packing at the house, and time flew by. It was 5:27 and the sun was disappearing.

"I'm so glad this building was never finished. Otherwise, I wouldn't be able to drive in here," Riley said.

She pressed the button and all the doors locked. Riley sighed, covering the front window and her own window with thick cloth.

Kimmie covered her window, and so did Queen. In the back, Hau and Jayna helped Connor cover the trunk window, and locked its handle to latches inside the car. Steve covered his small window, and so did Haru.

"Just for the night guys, hopefully," said Queen.

So it was out camping for the group once again. Riley could sleep easier now, for once in the last few days. At first, they wanted to leave the lights on, but that would attract attention. They decided to shut the van lights off.

Steve had a hard time sleeping this time, and Scarlet's music seemed to help less.

Haru and Ellie seemed to be on better terms, but it still was tense between the two. Angelo and Kimmie fell asleep on their windows.

In the back, Jayna fell asleep on Hau, while Connor was still up. Queen had fallen asleep a bit easier.

"Okay Kim, where's your shop?" Riley asked, as the crew took down the cloths.

"Next to my house," Kimmie snickered in reply.

"How have you never been to her house?" Jayna questioned. "Its like, one of the only tool shops in town."

"Why don't you let Kimmie drive us there?" Queen suggested.

Riley chuckled, "You're joking, right?"

The group went silent, all the joking coming to a halt. Riley stopped chuckling, looking at Queen confused. "Kim? Drive my baby?"

"Not much of a baby. It is a van," Haru stated.

"A mini van!" Steve added with a laugh.

"Okay. Eventually we'll need to learn to drive if Riley is no longer here," Queen announced, "We should start now."

Riley hesitated, fishing the keys out of her pocket. She handed it on her palm, and Kimmie slowly picked them up.

"We should switch seats now," she said to Riley.

"Why don't you sit here Riley? Since you need to teach Kim how to work your van," Scarlet suggested.

"Wait, give me back my keys. I need to drive the van out of this spot first," Riley said.

"Don't press the pedal hard. If you do you will definitely speed," Riley directed. Kimmie nodded, slowly pushing on the gas pedal.
