"Dear aster and amelia,

Where the hell are you guys? It's been almost a month since we've been separated. I've checked the highway everyday like i said i would but nothing has changed. Everything is untouched. This is killing me, the waiting. Please come back soon. I need you guys.

Willow "

Willow folded the letter and tucked it under the windshield wiper of one of the cars that she used for her friend's.

Dust had started piling onto the rusting vehicle, a sign of it not being touched. She didn't lose hope though. Her patience growing thinner by the day.

But each day Willow strapped Charlie to her back with blue leading the way and they made their way to the highway by foot. She was trying to conserve gas and the group having hit almost all of the gas stations in a 10 mile radius didn't help.

The three of them made the hour journey to the highway each day and each day came back to camp with the same three they left with.

The thought of never seeing her friends again weighed heavy on her mind. She failed to keep them safe, her promise broken and her heart shattered.

Each day daryl watched her walk down the dirt road and slip into the woods to avoid town. Some days he'd follow her. Keeping a close eye on her.

And today was no different. He leaned against an overturned tractor trailer, his crossbow slung over his shoulder. He dabbed the sweat from his brow with an old shirt that he had ripped and stuffed in his pocket.

Willow was far enough away to not notice her stalker. With one hand holding charlie steady on her back she bent down and picked up a water bottle that she had left. The wind most likely had knocked it off the hood of the car.

She sighed looking down at blue who sat in the shade of one of the larger cars. His ears up and alert. "What is it bud?" she asked, looking around.

But it was quiet. Maybe a little too quiet.

"Best get going." she turned her gaze back towards blue. "I don't feel right being here. Feels off."

Blue huffed in what willow assumed was in agreement.

What willow didn't know as she left the highway that day was that her feelings were spot on. Something was definitely wrong and something was coming. Something big.

The day went on like normal for the group. Training for the ones that weren't too familiar in walker killing and hunting went on like it normally did. Watch duty went like it always did, farm chores and house chores ran smoothly. Willow's work in the small room that had been converted into a small exam room went like it always did. Nothing was out of place or wrong but willow still couldn't shake the feeling something was coming.

She kept charlie and blue close to her. Not letting either out of her sight. Charlie stayed either strapped to her back or in her arms with blue by her feet.

"Go eat dear you haven't eaten all day." carol bent down beside a crouched willow.

She shook her head. "No i'm alright." she brushed her off finishing the task that she was working on which was carefully measuring out baby formula.

"You haven't been still all day."

"Just got a lot of things to do today."

Carol frowned. "What's wrong?"
