God and I

In me is the Greatest
Dwells the Most High
Chasing anxiety away
Builds fortress in my soul
Shows me the meaning
Of fighting for the one you love

He loves me with all that He is
Convicts me when I stray
Calms my unsteady shop
In the dark depths of the storm
He shows me above it all
Above Himself
Laid down His Life
Ransomed my soul with His own
Bought me with blood
Shows mercy in unforgivable sins
Thinks no evil over me
Regardless of my foolishness

I am ministered by His angels
In His wings I am covered to sleep
Shielded from terror
His eyes sharper than eagle's eye
Watch over me day and night
This is He Who created the universe
With every precise calculation
Each creature was formed
To beauty and perfection
Billions walking the earth
In different shape, race and colour
Trillions swimming the oceans
Known and unknown
Birds filling the skies
His Majesty is unmatched
His reign is incredible
Eternal is His being
Yet He gave it all for me
Traded His crown to wear my sin
So I can inherit a heavenly seat
Undeserving simply because He loves me

Greatest love of my life
One who literally gives me the world
Who keeps the eternal love promise true
Rather dies in my stead
How then can I reject Him?
I stray yet I will never leave
Disobey but never backslide
Tempted but remain faithful
For He is mine and I am His
There is no me without Him
No separating the two
Coming as a package till the end
Even beyond the end of time
