Mobians(Illumination's Minions but it's Sonic)

Twelve: Through the Waterways and to the Coronation

When Sonic reached the bottom of the ladder, the three of them soon arrived in the wet and yet unpleasant smelling waterways. "No turning back now you guys," Sonic told Shadow and Silver, the two of them nodding. They followed the well lit torches as they walked through the waterways, Silver befriending a rat. "Hello little one," he said happily as he patted the rat's head. "I'm gonna name you Whiskers." The rat chirped happily as Sonic stood in front of another ladder.

"This one could take us to the governor's palace. Let's give it a shot!" Sonic exclaimed with a smile. He climbed up the ladder first, Shadow and Silver following. When the three of them opened the vent, they realized that they weren't at the governor's palace, but at a funeral of some kind. The three's eyes widened as Sonic and Shadow immediately slid back down into the waterways. Silver had an idea though as he eyed the sorry for your loss wreath. He used his powers to grab it before sliding down the ladder.

Sonic and Shadow were both seen arguing, but Silver stopped them when he showed the two hedgehogs the wreath. "Hey! We can give this to Zeena as a can you forgive us gift!" Silver exclaimed as he held it out in front of them. Both hedgehogs looked at the wreath, Sonic flicking his fingers in advance. "You're a genius Silver!" he exclaimed as he took a red marker he had stored in his overall pocket. He marked out the for your loss part and wrote Zeena's name in bright red marker, not seeing a bee fly from one of the wreath's flowers.

When he was done, he put the marker up. "Let's go. We shouldn't be too far from the governor's palace," Sonic then said as he and Shadow sped ahead of Silver, who looked back at the rat he befriended and named. It squeaked sadly as Silver pipped, "Come on Whiskers! You can come with me!" The rat then squeaked happily immediately as Silver dashed off to chase after Sonic and Shadow, the rat following behind Silver.

"You sure this ladder will take us to the governor's palace?" Shadow asked Sonic as he tapped his foot. Silver's rat Whiskers climbed onto his shoulder in advance. "I'm sure! Trust me!" Sonic said with a smile. Shadow rolled his eyes as the three hedgehogs climbed the ladder. They came back up onto the streets....but not near the governor's palace. A car then drove over the area where the hedgehogs were, causing them to fall from the ladder and land onto the wet and cold waterways floor. The three complained afterwards. This was gonna be so much harder than they thought.

Zeena's coronation was already going underway as she began to wave to the people who had arrived to see her be crowned governor of Spagonia. A bright green limo was the thing that her and Zavok were riding in as she waved to the people in the stands. The cheers from the people was like music to her ears, and being crowned would be more music to her ears. The limo stopped in front of a chapel for the palace itself as Zeena and Zavok stepped out of the window.

Two villains, one being the Darkest Night and another being a bounty hunter from Chun-Nan, opened the doors for Zeena and Zavok as they both walked on the red carpet for the coronation. Besides normal people, even many different kinds of villains were there to celebrate the crowning of the new governor. "I am so excited. Finally. My dream is finally coming true. I can feel the crown at my fingertips. Even everyone here is excited," Zeena smiled as she flattened her skirt.

Surprisingly, even the Nelsons showed up. Zeena headpatted and ruffled Tina's hair as she walked by the crime family, Tina exclaiming happily as she watched the two walk across the red carpet. "And that music..." Zeena trailed happily as she listened to the sound of the organ. "Who is the organist she is goooooooood and almost looks like an Edna..." the zeti trailed as she looked at the woman on the organ. "Hey Edna! You're doing a great job over there!" Zeena exclaimed as Enda turned around and smiled.

Both Zavok and Zeena soon arrived at the priest himself, readying himself to present the coronation. She was already getting so excited, she couldn't hold herself in. "I just wanna say thank you for agreeing to be apart of this. We appreciate it," Zavok said as he smiled at the priest. He didn't say anything as Zavok stood a few inches away from him so he could watch his best friend getting crowned. Zeena smiled as she said, "Well. I'm ready. Let's begin shall we?"

Sonic opened the vent. Sure enough, they had arrived at the governor's palace for real this time. Shadow was relieved and so was Silver, even though he wasn't as bad as Shadow was. "We made it, but it looks like the coronation has started. Come on!" Sonic exclaimed as he jumped out of the vent, the other two hedgehogs following. They headed to the chapel as they ran on scarlet red carpet.

The three were super impressed with how large the chapel was for when they stood in front of it. It was just as impressive and nice as the inside of the governor's palace. Sonic tried to open the doors, but they were blocked...and being guarded by the two villains who opened the doors for Zeena and Zavok. Whoever came in, wouldn't come out. "Dang it. It's locked!" Sonic sighed. He was about to advise a plan, but Shadow stopped him. "Ha! Watch and learn Sonic," Shadow smirked. He got into a position and tried to spin dash into the door, only to hit his head and fall on the ground.

Sonic and Silver both tried to hold in their laughter as Shadow moaned to himself. "Alright so that didn't work," he complained. They had to get serious though. What was another way to get in? Sonic then looked at the roof, an idea coming. "We can get in through the roof. Let's go!" the blue hedgehog exclaimed as he began to dash towards the roof. Silver didn't know what to do with Whiskers though. "What? What about Whiskers?" Silver asked. "The rat stays Silver! Now come on we have to go!" Sonic shouted from afar.

The grey hedgehog sighed in sadness as he placed his rat down on the ground. "Sorry Whiskers. Looks like we won't be together after all. It was nice knowing you too," Silver told the rat as it chirped and rubbed against Silver's hand. He did it for a few seconds before Sonic called out to Silver, which caused him to gain focus back as he dashed after Sonic. Shadow got up, his head still hurting a bit from the spin dash he did. "Hey Shads! You ready or what?" Sonic called to the black hedgehog who looked at Whiskers. "You're the rat Silver befriended huh? Come with me. I'll surprise Silver with you," Shadow told the rat, who chirped happily in agreement.

Shadow rejoined Sonic and Silver, with Sonic asking what was up with Shadow and what took him so long. "It was nothing. Still recovering from this massive headache," Shadow told the two. Sonic explained his plan to Shadow and Silver: they would enter the chapel from above without causing a ruckus and tell Zeena sorry. "We're all gonna die if the plan doesn't work, and you should know this," Shadow told Sonic, who already knew from the start.

"I know Shadow. We have to give it a shot," Sonic told him. The three hedgehogs got into position, and the three of them spin dashed up the chapel's walls. It was a crazy plan on Sonic's part, but it would work if they played their cards right, and Sonic had faith in that. He just hoped that Zeena wouldn't go all crazy mode on the three of them and freak them out.
