22. Run

"Hold with that thought." Shit, Jihun caught us. There are two men behind holding a gun. A smirk came from his face.

"If you don't want to get hurt just like your father, you should hand it over or else..." He took a gun, pointing at three of us.

"You'll die."

I froze after I heard the d-word. I don't want to hurt anyone else. And I just can't hand over the book. I don't know what to do!

Sunghyun and Sungho tried to protect me to the fullest. They tried to hide me from those bad people. I'm shaking and trembling, and yes they're still terrified.

"Fine Jihun! You win! I-I'll give the book to you." Sunghyun looked at me shocked. Sungho furrowed his brows from what I just said. "What are you saying, Minseo?" Sungho murmured.

Jihun laughed, and he thought I'm going to trick him but I'm not. "Do you think I would fall for that Minseo? I know you would definitely run away with these pitiful twins by your side. I'm not a fool to get tricked by you little cutie mouse." He laughed again.

"Boys, take Minseo with me. Leave those twins behind. I've got to take care of her." He walked away leaving behind us. "Don't you all dare lay a hand to my girlfriend." Sunghyun hugged me and Sungho took a metal rod for defense. "Yeah! Don't y'all dare to hurt both of them... Or else!" He lifted the rod placing in front of those two buffed people.

"Or else what!" A guy just showed his big fist to Sungho. He gulped at what he saw. That guy is so huge. "Or I'll just- Run!" He hit the guy's ankle and made him hurt so bad. We ran afterwards very fast inside the woods. He held my hand tightly. We ran and ran and ran until we've reached to the river. Both of us hid under the bridge. It's very dark underneath and it has a great view when you see the clear crystal water below us. "Shh, don't make a noise. Ok?" He whispered. I covered my mouth with my two hands, almost crying from fear.

"S.. Sunghyun.. I'm scared." I whispered. "Don't worry, everything's gonna be ok." He gestured his hand to not make any noise. I slightly nodded as a response.

A light shone above us. He even hugged me tighter. "Find that girl! Quick!" The buffed guys passed through the bridge and good grief they didn't checked under the bridge. After they passed through the bridge, we quickly ran away back to Sungho.

When we got back to Sungho, I see him got covered in blood. He coughed. "Sungho!" He has a lot of bruises and wounds around his body. "H-hyung."

"I-I'm sorry, Sungho. I'll bring you to the hospital. L-let's go." He tried to lift him up and I helped him too. "I'm so sorry Sungho if you were involved in this situation. I-I'm just-"

"No it's ok Minseo, just leave me behind. Y'all need to get out of here." He coughed again. "No you need to go to the hospital." Sunghyun piggyback Sungho. He look so ruined.

We're finally at the side of the road. "Help! Please help us!" We're still crying for help, there are no cars passing the road. I bet it's already late somehow. We kept running and running until Sunghyun collapsed. "Hyung, just let me go." He said it in very low voice. "N-no Sungho, I would never do that. Please just-" I helped him lifting Sungho again.

"Please hyung!" He kept denying until there's a car passing by. The car stopped beside us and opened a window car. "Oh my god! Is he ok?" A group of boys that there are about 5 of them. "There's no need to chit chat! Please help him, let him go to the hospital."

"Right...but there's only one seat left. Are sure about this?"
"That's ok, we'll try to come back as soon as possible."
"What if we'll try to contact you once he's already ok."
He sends a number to the guy and I let him inside the car. "Please take care of him."
"We will." The blonde guy responded.

"Thank you!" The car already passed behind us and we looked to each other. "There you are!" We ran again but they took us.

"No! Let...us go!" The guy lifted me and I tried to punch him but it's no use. "Minseo!" He punched both of them but the other guy punched so bad that it would make his legs tremble. He collapsed again and took him too. "No!" I screamed. I wiggled and wiggled but still no use. I just realized that I'm a paper doll.

"You're one shaky mouse. Don't worry I'll let that mouse go back to sleep." I kept wiggled but I got covered by a handkerchief and let me sleep after.

"N-no...darling"
"Minseo! No!"

I hope everything was a dream, but it wasn't.

(Morning)

I woke up in an abandoned place. A ruined bed, a little piece of cheese in front of me. I furrowed my eyebrows from confusion. Is this a dream? I pinched my cheeks and unfortunately it wasn't.

"Sunghyun... Sunghyun!" Sunghyun is beside me. He looked so destroyed. He's covered in blood just like Sungho. He's unconscious as fuck. I clenched my fist from anger and stood up walking to the cell I'm front of me. "Jihun! You fucking maniac! Why do you keep doing this me! Just face me! You shitty asshole!" I let all of my rage out of my mouth like it's not even me at all.

"Look at you, raging inside of a cage. How's your feeling being a mouse inside your pitiful cage? Isn't it amazing?" He chuckled.

"I.fucking.hate.you."
"You're 20 but you're acting like a 30 year old whining at me. You're annoying."
"No you're annoying!"
He pointed me a gun. I think pissed him off. I smirked as I thought he wouldn't kill me because I know where the book is. Well thanks to my lover though.

"Good for you, I didn't killed you yet." He put the gun inside his pocket and walked away from us.

"Minseo..." It's him! He's already awake!
"Sunghyun! My goodness sake, why did they did this to you." I cupped his face, and looked everything. "Poor darling..." I cried.

"Done talking?" He ate a popcorn outside the cell. "Poor little souls, being locked inside. If you would tell me 'honestly' where is the book then I'll let you go-"

"I was supposed to tell you but you wouldn't listen! I told you, that book was not for you! It's for my family!"

"You're the only one here remaining in your family so... yeah." He ate another piece of kernel. Sunghyun let me relaxed from the anger I received from that guy. "What was your purpose actually Jihun? Why are you so obsessed with that book? Is it for money?"

"Heh, well it is for money but there's a main reason why I'm obsessed with that book. It's because of the content itself. Once that I spread that to public, a lot of money will come to me and soon my father will appreciate me."

"So you've got a daddy issues there? HAHAHA You're so pathetic, heh." I smirked again and Sunghyun laughed a bit.

"Oh stop that! You shouldn't have unheard that statement. But anyway, have fun torture yourselves inside the cell." He laughed again. He's so annoying.

Jihun's POV

"That bitch! I really hate her!" I opened the curtain and a board just appeared. "Go on and try badmouthing at me. I'll kill your boyfriend at least." I pasted Minseo's boyfriend at the board and crossed out a red x mark.

"Minseo's boyfriend is next." I made an evil laugh and took my gun again. I snapped my fingers. "Boys...take care of the girl. I'll take care of the guy first."

"Yes boss." I finally walked out of the room, and shoot a bullet to guy's picture. I smiled menacingly and already got out of the room.
