Ariana:

Upon awakening in the morning, my immediate contemplation was to address my decision, resolving the matter once and for all. Driven by the desire to escape the clutches of boredom, I promptly readied myself.

Having readied myself, I descended the stairs, only to be met with an eerie silence and an absence of any trace of him. Glancing at my watch, it struck me that he usually graced this time with his presence. Was Mr. Arrogant's punctuality prone to lapses? I pondered.

At that moment, a maid approached, kindly inviting me to take a seat as breakfast awaited. Served with eggs and bacon, I found myself at a loss for how to inquire about his whereabouts.

As his spouse, I felt a need to be aware, and so I cleared my throat, mustering the courage to ask, "Hmmm... Where is your Master?" Her response was accompanied by a gentle smile, "The young master embarked on a business trip and isn't expected back for a week."

A quizzical arch of my eyebrows was quickly hidden behind a composed expression. "Alright, thank you," I replied. With a respectful bow, she withdrew.

Now, faced with the question of what to do next, I realized I couldn't idly wait for his return. The idea of going to work surfaced, prompting me to head to my room and gather my belongings.

With a deep breath, I stepped out of  the Mansion and into the outside world. The air felt crisper, the sun brighter – perhaps a sign that embarking on this new phase was the right decision. The commute that once seemed mundane now held a sense of purpose. Each stop on the route was a step towards the realm I had left behind.

Walking through the office doors, my heart raced. Familiar faces greeted me, some with nods of recognition and others with warm smiles. It was like coming back to a family I hadn't seen in ages. My desk, cluttered with welcoming notes and fresh stationery, spoke of a camaraderie that I had missed dearly due to wedding rituals and all.

Co-workers came up with sincere curiosity, inquiring about my wedding and the new chapter of my life. In that moment, words seemed to elude me, leaving me momentarily speechless. Fortunately, Mia stepped in, rescuing me from the spotlight by diverting their attention. With everything eventually calming down, I finally immersed myself in my tasks for the day.

Throughout the day, the rhythm of work enveloped me. It was like riding a bicycle after a hiatus; a bit wobbly at first, but soon the muscle memory kicked in. By the time lunch break arrived, I found myself in the company of colleagues, discussing projects, cracking jokes, and savoring the camaraderie that had remained unchanged.

As the workday drew to a close, I felt a profound sense of accomplishment. The first day back had been conquered, a stepping stone towards reclaiming my place in the professional world.

As I locked up the office and stepped out onto the bustling street, a smile spread across my face. The journey of rediscovery had begun, and I was determined to embrace every challenge and triumph that lay ahead.

While strolling, I made the decision to take a leisurely walk, hoping to quiet my mind amid the chaos. Liam appeared, his casual approach matching his notorious demeanor. "Hey, young lady, did you forget you've got a friend at the office?" he quipped. I responded with an eye roll, amused by his characteristically cheeky manner. "Finally gracing us with your presence, huh? How did the meeting with the new shareholders go?" I quickly redirected the conversation, ignoring his initial question.
