Ariana:

I awoke to the sound of the shower running and gradually became aware of my surroundings. At first, everything seemed hazy, but then the events from yesterday flooded back into my memory.

I'm unsure of how Xavier will respond today. Despite the turmoil of yesterday, I found solace in sleep, even though tears stained my cheeks.

His embrace offered a fleeting sense of security, yet I fear the awkwardness that may we feel if we cross paths again. It's best to retreat to my room before he emerges, to spare myself from any potential hurtful words he might utter.

Silently, I made my way back to my room, careful not to make a sound. Once there, I swiftly freshened up, preparing for the day ahead at the office.

Emerging ready, I descended the stairs to find Xavier already at the breakfast table.I was making coffee for xavier.

Without exchanging words, I moved to pour myself some juice when suddenly, his presence loomed behind me.

He encircled me with his arms, his voice low and husky as he questioned, "Why are you avoiding me?"

My throat tightened as I struggled to find an answer. Before I could respond, he pressed on, his tone firm yet tinged with concern. "Tell me, or we won't move from here."

Meeting his gaze, I confessed softly, "I'm uncertain how you'll react."

"Is that it? You assumed the worst by yourself  and decided to escape?" His demeanor shifted from stern to gentle as he sighed, "Don't overthink it. Let's get ready for the office."

With that, he released me, his words easing the tension that had gripped me moments before.

I nodded in response and quickly retrieved my bag, aware of Xavier's gaze lingering on the back of my head as I hurried away. As i was already ready i just quickly grabbed my bag and we began walking towards the main door. Today i was wearing white shirt and knee length black skirt.

Upon arriving at the office, I noticed Lauren was already waiting, seemingly for Xavier

Upon arriving at the office, I noticed Lauren was already waiting, seemingly for Xavier.

Spotting him, she discreetly approached and murmured, "Mr. Landon is waiting for you in the conference room, sir."

He acknowledged with a nod and headed to his cabin. Later, we convened in the conference room for the meeting.

The agenda centered around forthcoming projects in Italy. As discussions concluded, we dispersed.

"It was Pleasure working with you Mr.Knight" Mr.LAndon said

"Likewise, sir " Xavier said and nodded his head towards him.

After that we went back to our respective places.

Xavier:

After the meeting, I called Ariana into my cabin. With the upcoming event looming and numerous pending tasks, coupled with the expectation of my friend Christian's arrival, there was much to organize.

I anticipated that he might have already reached.

With a keen eye for perfection and an aversion to any semblance of disorder in my events, I felt the weight of ensuring flawless execution.

A knock interrupted my thoughts, and I beckoned Ariana in. My wife entered, her expression a blend of confusion and curiosity, likely wondering why I had summoned her so soon after the meeting's conclusion.

Taking a deliberate stance, I motioned for her to take a seat on the couch.

As she settled in, leaving ample space between us, a tacit acknowledgment of the workload weighing on my mind, I postponed personal discussions for later and adopted a professional demeanor to speak with her.

"Ariana, as you're aware, we need to prepare for the upcoming event. I expect nothing short of perfection. Focus on the arrangements there, and if necessary, take Lauren's assistance. Check the venue meticulously, and if anything requires attention, don't hesitate to contact me." I said to her, she was listening to me attentively with her beautiful doe eyes looking at me like a i'm some kind of God.

She nodded in understanding, and I informed her that I might be late returning home, advising her to leave with Peter and rest.

Once again, she nodded, prompting my irritation at her habitual non-verbal responses. "Words, Ariana," I chided, frustrated by her silence.

With a melodic sweetness that never failed to disarm me, she finally spoke. "Yes, Xavier," her voice soft and soothing.

A genuine smile graced my lips at the sound of my name from her mouth, a simple yet profound pleasure. With a nod, I dismissed her, allowing her to depart.

As she neared the door, she glanced back, a shy smile playing on her lips. "Mmmhmmm... Xavier?" she hesitated, drawing my attention.

I awaited her continuation, my curiosity piqued. With a bashful demeanor, she inquired, "Do you want me to bring you coffee?"

Realization dawned upon me; I had missed my cup of coffee during the sudden meeting. "Yes, please," I replied, gratitude warming my tone.

She smiled in response, nodding once more before retracing her steps to fetch my coffee, leaving me with a renewed appreciation for her thoughtfulness amidst the chaos.
