Xavier POV:
Later that afternoon, I felt a surge of determination to get to the bottom of what had happened. The unsettling feeling that had settled in my chest since I had regained consciousness refused to leave. I needed answers.
I made my way to my study and logged into the security system to review the CCTV footage from the party. If someone had tampered with me, the cameras would have caught it.
I scrolled through the footage, fast-forwarding to the time when I began feeling unwell. My heart pounded as I watched the grainy images of myself, mingling with guests. But just as I approached the crucial moments when I was guided to the room, the footage cut out, skipping several minutes. When the video resumed, it showed an empty hallway outside the room where I had been found.
I stared at the screen in disbelief, rewinding and replaying the footage several times. It wasn't a glitch; the crucial moments had been deliberately erased.
"Ariana," I called out, my voice tight with tension. "The CCTV footage from last night—it's been tampered with. Someone deleted the part where I was taken to that room."
Ariana's face went pale as she joined me and looked at the screen. "But... who would do that? And why?"
"I don't know," I said, frustration mounting. "But this wasn't just a random incident. Someone planned this and made sure to cover their tracks. They wanted to keep me from knowing what really happened."
Ariana reached out and touched my arm, her concern evident. "Xavier, this is serious. We need to be careful. Whoever did this... they're not playing around."
I nodded, my jaw clenched with determination. "I'm going to find out who did this and why. This wasn't just about drugging me—it's more than that."
As the weight of the situation sank in, I was struck by another thought that filled me with regret. "Ariana... I had something planned for last night. Something important."
Ariana looked at me, confusion flickering in her eyes. "What do you mean?"
"I was going to tell you something ....," I said, running a hand through my hair, gulping the words I was Going to propose her, this is not correct time, I planned everything to remend my mistakes but some bastard ruined this, who might it be my business rival?
"I had everything set up—the perfect moment. But this mess—" I gestured toward the screen and the chaos that had unfolded— "it ruined everything."
Ariana's eyes softened, and she took my hand in hers. "Xavier, you don't have to worry about that right now. What matters is that you're okay. We'll have our moment, whenever it's right. This... this situation, we'll face it together."
Her words warmed my heart, but the frustration of what had been lost still gnawed at me. "I'm not letting this go," I said firmly. "Someone tried to sabotage us, and I'm going to find out who. But thank you, Ariana... for being here. I don't know what I'd do without you."
Ariana squeezed my hand, her expression resolute. "We'll figure this out, Xavier. Together."
As we stood there, united in resolve, I couldn't shake the feeling that we were only at the beginning of uncovering something far more sinister than either of us had imagined.

Ariana POV:
I was in the kitchen, preparing a simple meal and checking the schedules for Tuesday's meetings. The party had been a holiday for everyone, so I had a little extra time to catch up on work. The aroma of simmering ingredients filled the kitchen, offering a calming respite from the chaos of the previous night.
As I arranged the ingredients and reviewed the meeting agendas, Xavier's voice called out from the study.
I quickly wiped my hands on a towel and made my way to the study. My mind raced with thoughts of what new development could have come up. When I entered the room, Xavier looked up from his desk, his face a mix of frustration and determination.
"Ariana," he called out, his voice tight with tension. "The CCTV footage from last night—it's been tampered with. Someone deleted the part where I was taken to that room."
My heart sank as I approached and looked at the screen. The realization that someone had deliberately erased those crucial moments was chilling. "But... who would do that? And why?"
"I don't know," Xavier said, frustration evident in his tone. "But this wasn't just a random incident. Someone planned this and made sure to cover their tracks. They wanted to make sure I wouldn't know what really happened."
I reached out and touched his arm, trying to offer some comfort despite my own fear. "Xavier, this is serious. We need to be careful. Whoever did this... they're not playing around." Who would do this stupid act, they were really planned to ruin Xavier's reputation and planning something big.
Xavier nodded, his determination palpable. "I'm going to find out who did this and why. This wasn't just about drugging me—it's bigger than that."
As the weight of the situation sunk in, I noticed a look of deep regret cross Xavier's face. "Ariana... I had something planned for last night. Something important."
I looked at him, confusion clouding my thoughts. "What do you mean?" what does he mean by something planned for us? I'm not sure what he might be planned for us
He sighed and ran a hand through his hair. "I was going to tell you something. I had everything set up—the perfect moment. But this mess—" what does he mean by wanted to tell me something, and why does it look like now also he wanted to tell me something more but stopping himself he gestured toward the screen and paused for a moment closed his eyes and showed me the chaos that had unfolded—"it ruined everything." He finished.
My heart ached for him. I took his hand in mine, trying to offer solace. "Xavier, you don't have to worry about that right now. What matters is that you're okay. We'll have our moment, whenever it's right. This... this situation, we'll face it together."
I could see the frustration and disappointment in his eyes, and I wished I could make it all better. "I'm not letting this go," he said firmly. "Someone tried to sabotage us, and I'm going to find out who. But thank you, Ariana... for being here. I don't know what I'd do without you."
I squeezed his hand, my own resolve strengthening. "We'll figure this out, Xavier. Together." He just hummed and hugged me.
