Ariana:

As I sipped my coffee, the intercom buzzed abruptly, signaling an incoming call from Xavier "Ms. Miller, in my office now"and hung up the call. Annoyed by Xavier's lack of courtesy, I promptly hung up and, with a sigh, headed to his office.

I rapped on his door twice before entering, finding him engrossed in typing on his laptop behind the desk.

"Mr. Knight, you called for me?" I asked meekly.

He glanced up, confirming, "Yes, we got the Japan project. There will be a success party next week. Make sure everything is flawless; the main guests will be in attendance."

I nodded, replying, "Yes, sir. Anything else?"

He simply nodded, stating, "That would be all," and as I turned to leave, he called me back.

"Tonight, we have a meeting with a client. We'll go for dinner; be prepared for that," he said, then returned to his work.

"Okay," I acknowledged before making my exit from his office.

As the clock neared 7, I concluded my work, engrossed in the new task of organizing an event. I found myself making calls to each person on the list of attendees, extending invitations for the upcoming event.

By the time I wrapped up, the clock had struck 7. Not anticipating the dinner plan, I hadn't brought an extra outfit.

Uncertain about how to handle the situation, I wished for a moment to dash home with the driver and return promptly.

Just then, a knock echoed on my cabin door, and in walked David, Xavier's bodyguard, carrying a bag.

He conveyed, "Mr. Knight instructed you to wear this for the dinner," and exited the room.

I was taken aback by this unexpected gesture from Xavier. Regardless, with little time to ponder, I swiftly donned the provided attire.

Oh my gosh, the outfit is quite revealing. Not that I'm passing judgment, but he did mention it was a dinner with a client.

Anyway, the attire accentuates my features, adding a touch of elegance. I'm generally a confident woman, but past experiences with Xavier make me a bit uneasy, causing some hesitation in his presence.

Despite my reservations, the outfit fits perfectly, enhancing my curves in all the right places. Hastily finishing a light makeup session, I took a moment to admire myself in the mirror.

A knock interrupted my thoughts, and Xavier entered slowly. I could almost hear his gasp and see the surprise on his face. Blushing, I couldn't help but think, "Hmm... Mr. Xavier finds me attractive too. Why has he never complimented me before, Asshole!"

Clearing my throat, he snapped out of his trance and simply said, "Let's go." That was it – a simple directive, ugghhh Such a asshole.

We continued on our way, and Peter, Xavier's driver, was waiting by the limo. He courteously opened the door for us; I entered first, followed by Xavier. The car ride proceeded smoothly, with me gazing out of the window and him engrossed in his phone, his jaw visibly clenched.
