Ariana POV:

I let out a loud gasp and turned around to see who was the person intent on making my life more complicated. To my surprise, it was Liam, wearing a wide smile from ear to ear.

I exclaimed, "Liam, what are..." He silenced me by placing his hand over my mouth, wearing a smile. Glancing back to see if my husband was still present, I realized he was gone.

"How are you today, Arii?" Liam inquired. "I missed you people. I've been occupied with a new project, but now that I'm back, we can catch up like usual."

Mia joined us in the hallway, saying to Liam, "You are blocking my way, idiot." He rolled his eyes and retorted, "You're the one coming my way."

I couldn't help but exclaim, "They've started again. Both of them are drama queens." Reflecting on Mia's tendency to pick fights with him, I smiled.

"You're incredibly foolish. Do you believe this hallway is exclusively yours?"

"No, I believe my eyes belong to me. I use them to to see where i go, and if something obstructs my path, I simply turn around and find another way," he replied sweetly, wearing a smile.

Mia gasped loudly, exclaiming, "What the hell! Well, I'll break whatever comes in my way," expressing her frustration.

I decided to distance myself from their argument. Liam seemed about to say something, but when they noticed my dad's office door open, they quickly retreated from there too

"Remind me again, Why are we even friends with that Asshole?" Mia asked as she sat next to my cubicle. I smiled and replied, "We don't really have another option. He's surprisingly sweet," knowing that it would irritate her.

"Sweet, my foot! He's just Asshole" she exclaimed.

As I wrapped up my work at 6 today, a wave of sadness hit me. It was the last working day in my dad's office. I shared this sudden change with my friends at the cafeteria, and while they were sad, we made plans to meet on weekends.

Entering my car and heading home, I found the house quiet. I thought he would be home by now, but he probably had other meetings. After a refreshing shower, Heading downstairs, I made my way to the kitchen and spotted him at the dining table, sipping water and engrossed in his laptop.

As I quietly entered the kitchen, searching for something to eat and planning a quick escape, I felt an intense gaze on me. Clearing my throat, I turned around to find him surprisingly asking me to sit down. Confused, I Sat down hesitantly.

He questioned, "Who is that guy you seem quite cozy with in the morning?" The unexpected inquiry left me shocked and surprised. I couldn't find any jealousy in his expression; his face remained its usual blank self, devoid of emotions.

I cleared my throat before responding, "He's just a colleague and a good friend." His expression remained unchanged, maintaining that same blank face. Nodding, he calmly stated, "Starting tomorrow at 8 in the morning, you'll be working for me. Let it be clear that any kind of nonsense, like back hugging or front hugging, is not allowed in my office premises. Keep that in mind."

With that, he instructed me to meet Lauren, his assistant, on my first day of tasks and left the room. Frustrated with these one-sided conversations, I couldn't help but think he was fortunate to be Raf Uncle's son, or else he would have witnessed a different side of me. What an idiot
