Third person POV:
Lauren smirked as she looked at the unconscious Xavier lying on the bed. Gently smoothing his hair, she whispered, "Just rest here for a moment, Xavier. I'll be right back," her smile turning sinister as she slipped out of the room, closing the door quietly behind her.
She followed the man to the next room. As soon as the door clicked shut, she let out a sinister laugh.
"Finally, I'm so close to my plan, so close to Xavier. He's just one room away, and soon he'll be mine. Tomorrow, I'll wake up beside him like nothing ever happened, and our photos will be everywhere. Poor Xavier, his reputation will take a hit, but we're talking about the great Xavier—he'll have those articles taken down in a snap. But after tonight, he won't be able to get rid of me." she said with her burning eyes.
The man tsked at her. "Don't get ahead of yourself. Stick to the plan. He's not some easy catch. I made this simple for you—just do as you're told. Take the pictures and get back here immediately. People might already be looking for him, and when they find out the host is missing..." he trailed off with a smirk.
Lauren rolled her eyes but nodded. "I'll do what you asked, Master," she said, approaching him slowly. She planted a kiss on his lips, and he grabbed her hair roughly, returning the kiss. Then he pushed her away.
"Now get out slut," he ordered. She pulled back with a look of disgust, but smirked as she left the room, her thoughts on her Xavier.
Ariana POV:
I hurried through the grand hallway, my heels clicking urgently against the polished marble floor. Something didn't feel right—Xavier hadn't been answering his phone, and no one had seen him too, usually he gives lecture if somebody doesn't pick his call in first ring. My worry grew with every step.
Finally, I reached the room where I had heard someone groaning and the door was ajar so, I thought to check. I pushed the door open, my breath catching in my throat as i saw him lying unconscious on the bed, his usually composed face now pale and still.
---
"Xavier! Xavier, can you hear me?" I gasped, rushing to his side. I gently shook him, but he didn't respond. Panic welled up inside me as I checked his pulse—it was there, but weak. "What happened to you?" I whispered, my mind racing with possibilities, none of which made sense.
Without wasting another second, I pulled out my phone and called our driver, who had been waiting outside. "John, I need you to come inside, it's urgent!" I said, my voice trembling.
Sensing the urgency in my tone, John wasted no time. He hurried into the building and found me standing by the door, my face pale. "In here," I directed him, concern etched on his face as he took in the situation. "Miss Ariana, what happened?"
"I don't know, but we need to get him home—now," I said, trying to stay calm. John saw Xavier and quickly moved to help. Together, we carefully lifted Xavier and carried him to the waiting car.
We reached the car and carefully placed Xavier in the back seat. I sat beside him, my hand clutching his, worry etched across my face, my mind swirling with unanswered questions. What had happened to him? And who had done this? But more than anything, I just wanted him to wake up and be okay.
"Please be okay," I whispered as we headed into the night, leaving the noise and lights of the party behind.

The next morning, soft sunlight streamed through the curtains, casting a warm glow over the room. I sat in a chair by the bedside, my mind still reeling from the doctor's words. He had given Xavier an injection to counteract the effects of a high-dose drug that had been administered to him, explaining that Xavier would likely wake up in the morning. The shock of it all left me feeling numb, though exhaustion weighed heavily on my eyes.
I had stayed by Xavier's side all night, unable to tear myself away. Watching over him as he lay unconscious, I felt a mix of fear and helplessness. Every now and then, I would check his pulse, my heart leaping with relief each time I felt its steady beat. Even though the doctor had assured me he would wake up, I couldn't help but worry. I kept replaying the events of the previous night in my mind, trying to make sense of how Xavier had ended up in this condition.
As the minutes passed, I held onto his hand, silently willing him to wake up, hoping that when he did, the nightmare would finally be over.
Finally, Xavier began to stir. His eyelids fluttered open, and he blinked against the light, trying to focus. The fog of the previous night still clouded his mind, but the familiar surroundings of his own room began to bring him back to reality.
I leaned forward, relief flooding me as I saw him waking up. "Xavier," I whispered, my voice a mixture of concern and overwhelming relief. "You're awake. How do you feel?"
Xavier turned his head toward me, his brow furrowed in confusion. "Ariana... what happened? How did I get here?"
"You collapsed at the party," I explained softly, reaching out to touch his hand. "I found you unconscious in a room. We brought you home as quickly as we could."
Xavier rubbed his temples, trying to piece together the fragmented memories. He remembered feeling dizzy, the sensation of someone guiding him to a room, and then... nothing. "I thought... I thought it was you who took me to that room," he said slowly, his confusion growing. "But when I woke up earlier... it wasn't you."
My expression tightened with worry. "It wasn't me, Xavier. I was looking for you when I found you lying there. Who else was with you?"
Xavier shook his head, frustration gnawing at him. "I don't know. Everything's so hazy." He paused, trying to remember more, but it was like grasping at smoke. "Someone was there... I thought it was you, but... it was someone who wore a red dress, the same as you."
"Red dress?" I asked, my voice holding a note of alarm. "Who would be...?"
Xavier's eyes darkened as he slowly began to piece together the implications. "I don't know, but something isn't right. They wanted me to think it was you."
He nodded when I asked if there were two people who carried him to the room.
My grip tightened on his hand. "We need to figure out what happened. But first, you need to rest and recover. We'll deal with this together."
Xavier nodded, grateful for my presence. "Thank you, Ariana. I don't know what I'd do without you."
Igave him a reassuring smile, though my mind was already racing, trying to piecetogether the mystery that had started to unravel before us. "You don't have to worry about that," I said softly. "I'm here".
