Chapter 19

I was resting my back while leaning against the tree. It's night time and we decided to sleep. But Jacob and Flame will stay awake to watch us. I am trying to sleep but I am not comfortable with my position.

I shifted on my position and groaned. This won't help me to get some sleep. But then I need to sleep because I am so tired. Kailan kong magpahinga upang maibsan ang pagod.

I saw a shadow from a far but because I was already dozing off I didn't say anything about it.

I was in the familiar garden again but this time I didn't hear Cordelia's voice. Instead I heard a voice of a lady singing a familiar lullaby.

Sinundan ko ang kanyang tinig at dinala ako ng aking mga paa sa ilalim ng fountain. Nakatalikod ang babae sa akin habang umaawit. I watched her silently without making any noises. Her voice was so soft that it makes me want to listen for it again and again. She's humming a familiar song while caressing the sunflowers in front of her.

I noticed a shadow moved. Hindi lamang pala ako ang nakasilip dahil sa likod ng kumpol ng mga halaman ay nandoon ang lalaki. He was also peeking at the lady like me.

He was smiling while looking at her. He seems so familiar to me. Nakaayos ang kanyang itim na buhok at matikas ang tindig. He's like a general in his kind of outfit.

The lady seemed to notice our presence, stopped from singing. She then laughed. That makes my heart ache for some reason. It's aching happily.

"I know you are there. Come out now."

Kinabahan pa ako ng bahagya. I was about to go in front of her but the guy across me laughed and went to hear instead.

"You really amaze me, Sun," he said and sat beside the lady.

"You didn't bother to hide your presence from me, Clavio."

An idea dawned me. Is this their love story? And I am witnessing it with my own eyes? Hah! Paano ako makakarelate sa kanila eh wala akong ganito?

They continued talking and I listened to them.

The girl is soft-spoken. She always has this calm voice that can tame a storm. The guy on the other hand is very attentive with what the lady is saying. I saw how he smiled whenever she tells a story. He'll stifle a laugh whenever she said something funny.

The scene in front of me made me smile. I am witnessing a genuine love with these two.

The scene changed and I was now inside of a dark room. The place is suffocating and it didn't calm my heart. Iba sa nasaksihan ko kanina.

"Where is she?" the man asked the lady. The lady didn't answer him directly instead I saw her gulped.

"I said where is she?"

Napuno ng tensyon ang silid. Nakita ko ang pagkuyom ng kamao ng lalaki at hinampas ang lamesang nasa harap niya. Napatalon tuloy ako sa gulat.

"She's with her comrades. They are getting ready for the leveling, Father."

So this lady in front of him is his daughter.

"Make it sure that she's not meeting that guy, Andromeda. You know what I will do to her when she does."

The lady sighed then leave the room.

Sinundan ko siya. Pumasok siya sa isang silid. He touched her head and speak.

"Where are you? He's looking for you!" Panic is very visible in her voice.
