Chapter Twenty-One

It's officially been thirty days since we have had an accident. Michonne finally learned the truth about my family and I, Carl learned about his father and I, the kids and I have been training Athena, and Rick and I have been going strong ever since.

"Morning, mi vaquero." I said, rolling over towards Rick.

A month ago, Isabelle and Alexander decided to get a cell together. They got one right next to the office so I wouldn't worry. Athena and Judith stayed in the office with me, and Rick would sometimes join us. Carl had a cell to himself, but when Athena wanted to be with kids, she went to his cell.

"Morning, my star." he told me.

I smiled, kissing him, before we got up.

"Working in the field?" I asked.

"Yeah. Carl's going to be helping me." He said.

I nodded as he left. I rolled over and saw Thena still sleeping. I tiptoed to her and started tickling her.

"Mommy, stop." She said, laughing.

I smiled.

"Rise and shine, my love. Time for a new day." I told her.

She got up and I picked up Judith. I checked the kids' cell on my way out but didn't see them. We went and got food outside.

"Morning, Carol." I said.

"Morning, Aunt Carol." Athena said.

"Morning." She told us, serving us some food.

"Thank you." We told her. Athena held both bowls.

"Mom!" I heard.

I saw Alec and Izzy eating at a table. We went and sat with them.

"Did you sleep well?" I asked.

"We did. Alec snores loudly though." Izzy said.

"Hey Alexander." We heard.

I looked to the left and saw a boy around Alec's age. He was cute.

"Uh, ah, morning Magnus." Alec stuttered out. 

Oh my god, this is too cute. My son was blushing.

"I was wondering if you wanted to be on guard with me?" Magnus asked.

"Uh, yeah, sure." Alec told him.

"Ok, great." He said, before walking off.

"OMG! Alec, why didn't you tell me you had a crush." Isabelle said.

"No-No I don't. He's just a friend." Alec said.

"My darling boy, he is anything but a friend. I say go for it. You two would be adorable." I told him.

"You're okay with that? If I did?" Alec asked me.

I got up and sat next to him with Judith in my arms. I put my hand on his cheek.

"Alexander. I will always love you no matter what you do. I will love you if you want to date the same gender. There is nothing wrong with that and if someone has an issue, then I will gladly deal with them because no one messes with my son." I told him.

"Thank you for being the best mom ever." he told me, hugging me.

I smiled, laughing. We finished our breakfast, before he left. I gave Judith to Beth as Izzy, Thena, and I walked down to help Rick and Carl.

"What happened?" I asked as I saw Hershel there.

"Nothing. We are just growing another plant." Rick said, kissing me, scratching me with his beard.
