As the kids slept through the night, I watched as everyone started to clear the camp. I could see Rick coming this way.

"Are you and your kids, okay?" He asked me.

I don't know what it is, but this guy makes me feel vulnerable in a way I haven't felt in a while.

"Yeah. I kept them safe." I told him.

I saw him look around us.

"I can see that. You're really good with those weapons of yours." He told me.

"Thanks. My parents taught me." I told him.

As he moved the bodies, I kept watch, fearing more would come. The kids woke multiple times throughout the night from nightmares, but I soothed them back to sleep.

When daybreak came, the kids woke up and I knew it was time for us to leave. Together the kids and I packed up our tent. I folded all our blankets, placing them in the car, before putting our extra food in the trunk, with our tent. The kids placed their bags in the truck but kept their weapons on them. I was the same, keeping my gun, bow/arrow, and sword on me.

After everything was packed, the kids and I walked towards the others.

"A walker bit Jim." I heard Jacqui say.

Everyone started surrounding him like some animal.

"I'm okay. I'm okay." he repeated.

"Show it to us." Daryl ordered.

I saw Jim pick up a shovel and everyone started freaking out.

"Stay here, babies." I told them, walking towards the others.

"All you back the fuck off." I told them, but no one moved. "Now!" I yelled. I saw them move away.

"Stella..." Rick said. I just glared at him.

"Jim...it's just me now. No one else is going to go up to you, but me. Can you put the shovel down?" I asked him.

"They wouldn't leave me alone." He told me.

"I know, but they won't bother you anymore. I promise, so can you put it down?" I asked again.

He nodded, placing it down. I came up to him.

"Can I see it?" I asked him.

He picked up his shirt and I could see the wound.

"Let's go wrap that wound. Stop the bleeding. What do you think? That sound good?" I asked him, holding my hand out.

He nodded, taking my hand. "I'm okay." He kept whispering.

"Isabelle, can you grab my med bag? It's underneath your seat." I told her, as I took Jim towards the rv. I heard her ran off, before returning with it.

"Am I going to die?" Jim asked.

"I'm not going to lie. Where the bite is located, it's not possible if you do make it." I told him.

"How long?" He asked as I wrapped his wound.

"2-3 days." I told him.

He looked down. I glanced at the others as they discussed what to do next.

"You go looking for Aspirin, do what you need to do. Someone needs to have some balls to take care of this damn problem!" Daryl yelled coming towards Jim and I with a pickaxe.

I raised my gun, pointing right at him, just as Rick did the same.

"We don't kill the living." Rick told him as Shane stood behind me.
