Chapter Thirty-Seven

When I saw everyone back, I immediately attacked my sons in a hug.

"Get everyone in the church." I heard Rick say.

"What happened?" I asked Alec.

"Dad will explain." He told me.

Isabelle came outside with Judith and passed her to me. Together the kids and I walked to the church. I could already see people arriving. Rick and the others who went on the trip, stood up front.

He started explaining about Hilltop, but what I focused on was, Negan. This doesn't sound good.

"If anyone objects, here's your chance to speak up." Rick said.

We heard a creak and turned around. I saw Morgan stood up.

"You're sure we can do it? We can beat them?" He asked Rick.

"What this group has done, what we've learned, what we've become, all of us -- yes, I'm sure." Rick told everyone.

"Then all we have to do is just tell them that." Morgan told him.

"Well, they don't compromise." Rick told him.

"This isn't a compromise. It's a choice you give them. It's a way out, for them and for us." Morgan said.

I can't help but have a dislike towards this man.

"We try and talk to the Saviors, we give up our advantage, out safety. No, we have to come for then before they come for us. We can't leave them alive." Rick told him.

"When there's life, there's possibility." Morgan told him.

"Of them hitting us." Rick said.

"We're not trapped in this. None of you are trapped in this." Morgan told everyone of us.

"Morgan... They always come back." Rick told him. Judith started crying, so I got up and went outside.

When I went back inside, the meeting was over. Rick and the kids came over. He took Judith from me and we all went home. 

It was night and I couldn't sleep. I went downstairs and saw Rick discussing the plan with the others.

"And you didn't see any other rooms?" Maggie asked.

"No, it's a big place. This is the hallway I saw. There is more." The man, Andy, said.

"And every time, they had you bring things here?" Michonne asked.

"We brough a couple spears for them. Two of the Saviors took them down this hallway. now, they must've done something with them because they didn't come back with them." He explained.

"If you know where the place is, why not have the boys scope it out. You can know how many people are there. They could do it tonight too. Better for them to hide and not be seen." I spoke up.

Everyone looked surprised to see me.

"Would it be smart to send them alone?" Rick asked.

"Rick, Magnus and Alec, can take care of themselves. They'll be okay. They can get to the location in a couple of minutes and scope it out before returning back to us." I told him.

He nodded.

"How about we just give them Gregory's head. We can take the boys with us, and they can tell us how many there are, but we can also just walk right in, when we give the head." He said.

Everyone agreed. Rick went back upstairs with me, and I fell asleep wrapped around his arms. Morning came and he left with the boys and Isabelle. Carl and Athena stayed behind to help me.
