You blinked a few times, staring at the bright floors below you. You move your feet out slightly and stare at the white bandage wrapped around your ankle. It's... confusing. Weren't you outside? You don't remember moving, or having your ankle looked at. "Sakura."

You look up in surprise at the voice, finding yourself not alone. In fact, you're in a hallway. "Kakashi?"

He seemed relieved that you responded, moving to kneel in front of you. "I'm glad you're back."

"Back?" You repeated, still having a hard time processing.

"Don't worry about that, how are you feeling?"

You look down at your hands, still holding the sand. Although now the sand is in the form of a small mouse, sleeping soundly in your hold. "What's this?"

"You were holding it when Naruto brought people to you and Sasuke, you refused to let it go." You frown for a moment.

"Sasuke?" Somehow that seems to help you, "is he okay? Where is he?"

"He's alright, thanks to you. He's still recovering but they say the healing you did probably saved him." Kakashi explained.

"Healing? I didn't.." You remember what Sakura did, had she healed Sasuke? What did that mean for her? A quick glance around told you that she wasn't here. And now that you think about it, you hadn't slept either. Though you were plenty tired. "Right."

"Let's go somewhere more private." Kakashi said and stood up, you do so as well and he guides you into a nearby room. Sasuke lay unconscious on a bed, but he's alive at least. "Sit." He gestures to a small sofa and you take a seat. When you don't immediately begin explaining he has to say something to prompt you. "Tell me everything."

"How much?"

"Everything that happened during the attack. To you, at least."

You think a moment. "I woke up in a hospital room and uh.. Gaara had sand walls over the exits to protect me." You start to explain, Kakashi looks like he wants to say something but instead let's you continue.

"I asked him to let me out and lead me to him and he did, I ran into Kankuro and Shino on the way though. Um, his dad's dead. The Kazekage.. I'm sorry, I should have told you guys about the attack."

"It's alright, Baki did."

"What?"

"He went to the Hokage and informed him of everything. We were prepared."

"That was you being prepared?" You can't help but smile despite everything.

"Listen, it was short notice." He starts to defend, before giving you a look. "Anyway, continue."

"Kankuro and Shino went to tell Temari the news and I went towards Gaara, though he wasn't really responsive then.. And then I found Sasuke." You think about what he looked like. "Sakura healed him, I think? I didn't do anything. She saved him.."

"Sakura can use chakra in that form?"

"Apparently? I didn't know she could either but she.. disappeared after. I'm worried about her, what if she broke some cosmic rules or something." You start to ramble a bit but Kakashi puts his hands on your shoulders.

"Hey, it's alright. Don't worry about her, she'll be okay." He reassures and you close your eyes to help force back the anxiety. "You should stay here, it'll make Sasuke feel a lot better to have you here when he wakes up."

"How hurt was he?"

Kakashi hesitated, "Gaara went pretty hard on Sasuke and Naruto after hearing that his father was dead.." So it was your fault. "But he got sloppy and Naruto found an opening. I don't know what Naruto said to him but whatever it was it worked, Gaara's stopped his attack."
