Shehnaaz looked at him. Years later, Shehnaaz and Sheeraz were face to face with each other. He was tall, tough not as much as Sidharth. His face, a little older than what she had seen. His eyes covered in specs.

"Now that you are here,  let me introduce you to her," Spoke turning towards Shehnaaz. "This is ...."

"Shehnaaz kour!" All three of them spoke at once and them silence fell all around.

Sidharth looked at them, confused. "So do you know each other?", he asked.

"Not exactly,  just as acquaintances from years back!" Shehnaaz answered, smiling as she forwarded her hand to Sheeraz, while Sidharth looked on. She had an infectious, charming smile that she rarely used.

"Nice to meet you!" She spoke as her they shook hands,  imitating Sheeraz's head nod. Just as she did so, the bun Sidharth had made out of her hair opened and the hair fell around her. She looked dazzling as this happened, Sidahrth felt fear. He averted his gaze and turned away.

Shehnaaz smiled while looking at the guy, and then quickly released her hand's grip. The trick was to always leave them wanting more.

The Sunlight streamed into the sleek conference room through the vast glass wall. A massive, round table placed at  center had its glossy surface reflecting the ambient light. The table was surrounded by a collection of ergonomic chairs, blend of charcoal gray and muted blue. The table's surface was uncluttered, save for a few sleek touch-panel controls seamlessly integrated into its edge, allowing for  technology-driven presentations. Overhead, a trio of modern pendant lights dangled elegantly, their soft illumination providing ample light for productive discussions without being harsh.

The panoramic view from the glass wall showcased the bustling cityscape below, the vibrant energy of the urban landscape forming an inspiring backdrop. Tall skyscrapers stretching towards the sky, their glass facades reflecting the azure heavens above. The distant hum of traffic and the occasional siren adding a distant urban rhythm to the room, a reminder of the dynamic world beyond the confines of the meeting space.

"I thought you were in corporate law?" Shehnaaz asked looking at Sheeraz. She knew him, remembered him and wanted him to know that as well. And ofcourse this was a great opportunity to strike a conversation, without letting her interest be known.

Both Sidharth and Sheeraz looked at her. It would have been an understatement to call her beautiful, she was sinfully beautiful and she beheaved as if she had no knowledge about it. "Oh, yes I'm.  I am here, just in case Sidharth needs a help..."Sheeraz  was speaking when Sidharth interrupted.

"He is here in capacity of a friend, not as a lawyer, Miss. And given that we have only twenty minutes for this, let's get started."

Shehnaaz quickly turned her gaze towrads Sidharth, his bearded face, not the stubble but some major amount of beard, his sharp chiseled features and his hawk like eyes. He could have killed, her head said." Of course, Mr. So why don't we get started with happened that day? The day you found the guys dead body and called the police??"

"I have done that, told that to Mayank. Why..." Sidharth was speaking when Shehnaaz spoke again.

"That was Mayank, and this is me,sir. Mayank won you a victory in a court, and if you want another one, we have to be ready and prepared.  I have the statements you have given to police so let's start with those?"

Sidharth nodded in agreement,  they wanted to prepare a top notch case in case the prosecution went to a higher court.

"You went to office at 7 in the morning, from your Malabar house. It takes 35  minutes to be there, right? And then you leave at 11:45 Am towards your penthouse again in Malabar hill, here it normally would take another 45 minutes to get back. But at 12:10 you call your assistant and ask her to cancel all meetings for the day? "
