Niall

This was her.

I didn't have to wait for someone to answer me to know it was her. Having her right in front was strange. I thought that having her so close would have my inexplicable connection with her soaring through the roofs.

But it wasn't.

Instead it was my body reacting. My body felt like I had fireworks exploding in me. I couldn't help but continue staring at her.

The boys were all talking about what happened. I didn't pay much attention to it. All my attention was on the girl. Her brown hair in a pony tail, her breathing now steady. She was sweating. I walked away from the boys and sat on the edge of the couch where Zayn had placed the girl on. I unzipped her jacket and quietly took it off, placing it next to her.

"What are you doing?" Louis asked. He caught me by surprise. I couldn't stop looking at her. Deep inside, I felt like she was calling me. Her presence was attracting me. She was my magnet. I finally managed to look back at the boys ultimately breaking the small trance I was in.

"She was sweating. So I took her jacket off," I said. Zayn looked worried, his forehead creased and his brows scrunched up in thought. He wasn't the only one. Liam, Harry, and Louis all had the same expression on their face.

"Lou," Liam blurted out his name, which caused us all to look at him, "can you feel if she's okay?" Liam asked in sudden realization that Louis could possibly take them out of their worry.

"I don't know. I can try." Louis held Liam's stare trying to get a grasp on his surroundings. We all waited there in silence as Louis closed his eyes. Our eyes stared at nothing else beside his face.

"No," Louis said opening his eyes. We all simultaneously groaned in exasperation, "I can't feel her anymore." Lou ran a hand thorugh his hair due to how flustered he was. Harry placed his hand on Lou's shoulder in comfort and Louis just let out a sigh.

"Zayn, maybe you should try. You were with her while she fainted," Harry suggested.

"I don't think it will work with me. I didn't even know she was here until Lou told us." Zayn reminded us of our earlier failure. Frustration was taking over but he went along and tried.

"Nothing." Zayn said exasperated. Lou fell into distraught. Harry now became the one to run his hand through his curls as Liam paced back and forth thinking.

"Lads, why don't we give it a try and try seeing if one of us can feel her," I suggested. We had to try something. Anything. She couldn't just stay unconscious.

"Niall, you're a genius." Liam responded to my words, patting me on my back. I blushed slightly at his remark.

"I'll give it a try," Harry closed his eyes. When he opened them, he just nodded his head no. Like Harry, Lou now had his hand sympathetically on Harry's shoulder.

"Okay, my turn." Liam closed his eyes. It was taking him longer to open his eyes. Maybe he had gotten a clear connection.

"Nothing. Niall, your turn," Liam looked at me. All the boys looked at me. I was the only one left. They held so much hope for me, for her.

I closed my eyes. Nothing happened, all there was emptiness and blotches of color produced by the light outside of my closed eyes. I was ready to open them back up. Ready to break the hope the lads had. But then something took control of me. Consumed me. Overwhelmed me. It was her. She was reaching out to me. She was calling me. All I had to do was answer back.

"Where are you?" I asked. The moment those words left my mouth I was dragged into her world. I was no longer a spectator. I was in her mind. I couldn't see her. All I saw was an endless white canvas. I gazed upon what was all around me and couldn't find her. I walked and walked and found no trace of her. I was lost.
