Kenzie

Zayn, Zayn. Where are you? I walked around and all I saw was nothing. It was all white but I could hear his voice.

"Kenzie. Kenzie please don't leave me. I need you. I need you. You're the only thing that lets me sleep. Kenzie? Kenzie?" I hear Zayn. I kept walking around. I passed a familiar tree. I didn't know why it looked so familiar until I saw the picnic blanket. It was the same one Niall and I met and spent time together. We were in a dream.

"Zayn? Where are you?" As if magic Zayn appeared right before me under the tree. He looked around lost.

"How are you here?" Zayn asked. He kept looking at me like I weren't real.

"I would say the same." I looked at him.

"Wait where are we," he asked as he took in our surroundings.

"My dream, I think," I said. I sat down lying back on the tree and patted the space beside me. Zayn looked at it and sat down.

"Oh." He sat there. He looked very tired like he hadn't slept. He tried to keep his eyes open but they kept closing shut. Yet, he didn't seem to drift off into sleep.

"Zayn. You're tired. Here lay down," I said. Zayn looked at me, hesitated but he nodded.

"Thank you," he said. He rested his head on my lap. He closed his eyes. He looked rather beautiful and peaceful like that.

"So why can't you sleep? Nightmares?"

"Umm no. All I know is that when I sleep with you I can go to sleep," he opened his eyes and looked up at me. His words shocked me. Why had this revelation shocked me that much?

"Well, sleep." I looked down at his brown eyes and watched as they fluttered closed. He just laid there. I could feel his breathing, it was normal. He probably couldn't go to sleep with the sun. Like that the sun began to set. Thank god this was my dream.

He began to relax. My hand somehow found itself in his hair. I played with his hair and then that's when he finally went to sleep. His breaths were slower and deeper. Poor, Zayn his job barely let him sleep. I continued to play with his hair, but I noticed that he began to fade away.

"Zayn. Zayn." I shook him. But he was no longer tangible. If this was my dream why was he fading away? Didn't I have control over it?

"Kenzie, Kenzie. Kenzie, wake up," I opened my eyes. I looked up and came in contact with another pair of hazel eyes. Rosie.

"Hey. What's up?" I rubbed my eyes slightly trying to wake.

"Nothing. I came to wake you up for running and you were calling out Zayn," she raised an eyebrow. Was I talking in my sleep? Great.

"Oh. I was having a dream that Zayn, the boy I pranked yesterday was trying to catch me and throw me into mud," I lied. Lately I have been lying a lot, especially to family and friends. She nodded. She hadn't noticed or just didn't want to argue about it now. I got up from my bed and made my way to the bathroom; I opened the shower and the water, took off my clothes and got in. I let the water just fall on me.

Why had I dreamt about Zayn? Was it even a dream or was it like with Niall? It couldn't be like Niall. I had to be close to him. Why did that even happen? I had too many questions and no answers. After shampooing for the third time I decided I was clean and wrapped a towel and walked out into my room.

"I got your stuff ready. I'll wait for you outside," Rosie said before heading out. I looked at the clothes on my bed. Shorts, a tank top and a hoodie. Next to it sat a duffel bag that probably had another pair of sports apparel and clothes to change in at school for later. This was the routine on normal days. I had gotten into my shorts and shirt, and decided I would wear the blue Jack Wills jumper Niall gave me. It was warmer and it fit my outfit. Most of all it was the only reminder I had of the guys now.

I grabbed my bags and walked out my room making sure I made no noise to wake dad, Sophie or Frank up and made my way downstairs. I heard some clanking in the kitchen; Ana was probably getting ready for breakfast. I walked out the house and found Rosie talking with Tony. I raised an eyebrow and she blushed. They both did. Hmmm?

"Morning Squirt," Tony said. He tried to ruffle my hair but it was in a ponytail. I stuck my tongue out.

"Morning," I said.

"We're taking the car?" I asked. I looked at the car, a green jeep.

"Yep." Rosie said popping the p.

"Don't worry she wont drive. That's why im here for," Tony teased. She playfully smacked his arm. I rolled my arms, they so liked each other.

"Oh. Alright. Can we stop at a Starbuck's, I'm hungry," I said. That earned me laughs from Rosie and Tony.

"When aren't you?" Tony teased. I rolled my eyes. I got in the car and drove off.
