Niall

"Stay as far away from her as possible. Do you understand? Boys, did you hear me?" Simon voice echoed in my mind. Stay away. Stay away. Why?

"Sorry boys. I don't have time to explain right now. Listen to me stay away from her. It's for the best. It's an order. I have to go," Had I said that out loud? With that the call ended.

"Yes," I heard Liam mumbled. He snapped the lap top shut and we all just sat there, solemn.

"He can't just tell us to stay away from her and not give us an explanation," Louis grumbled. Everyone just stood quiet for a moment. No one said anything else. We all looked at each other, not one of us was happy with what Uncle Simon told us.

"Lou, we can't just go against Uncle Si's orders. Maybe he has a good reason-" Liam stopped talking once he saw the facial expression Zayn was giving him. Was he trying to convince us? It looked like he couldn't even convince himself.

"A good reason? He's not the one not getting his sleep. You out of all people know what I have to deal with night after night. If he listened, if he actually listened he wouldn't be saying that, he would be telling me to stay closer. She is the only thing, the ONLY thing that lets me sleep," Zayn passed a hand through his hair in frustration. How was this all of sudden about him?

"Li Li for once you can't possibly be defending him. This time Zayn has a point being near her keeps us sane, our beast are tamed with her presence. Our hunger doesn't take control of us," Harry said. We all looked at him. The realization was a shock. What Harry said was true. Around her we didn't have the desire to drink.

"Harry's right, mate, I lose all my blood lust being around her," I confessed. This time I earn all their stares. Liam is just thinking hard.

"Dammit. What do you boys want me to do? By order I have to listen to Uncle Simon. But as your leader I agree with you," Liam in his frustration slammed his fist on the center table. With the impact the table split in to, Liam's fist on the other hand showed no sign of injury.

Liam was caught between an order and his will, our will. We all came closer to Liam, we at first just lightly placed our hands on his shoulder and he just placed his head between his knees. Then we hugged him. He finally let out a deep breath and all his body eased. He was stressed with all the responsibility he held. He finally pulls away and collects himself. He sighs.

"Let's make a compromise, we'll stay away from Kenzie for this week or until we get in contact with Uncle Simon and he tells us why. If he refuses to then we do what we think we should do," Liam uttered. I looked down at the floor. Could that possibly work? It was worth a try. It wouldn't be for very long. I walked over back to my seat and sat down, my eyes never leaving the floor.

"I'm fine with that," I said. No one said anything. I didn't dare to look up, but I did any ways. I looked at Liam and he smiled. Then someone sat next to me and breathed out heavily.

"I think I can work without her for a week," Louis said. There was only Harry and Zayn left.

"I don't agree but if that's what happens then it happens," Harry said. We all were crestfallen at the idea of no contact with Kenzie, but it was only temporarily. I looked at Zayn he was the only one left. He was lying back on the wall, one foot up on the wall. He was not looking at us. He stared out the window, not caring that we were drilling holes at his back with our stares.

"You know what I don't give it damn anymore. Do what you lads want to do. What does it matter to you? Because you're not the ones incapable of sleeping," Zayn muttered. He took one last look outside, shot us glares and zoomed out the living room into his room.

"You want me to go talk to him?" I got up from my seat.

"No give him space. I thought he would say that. He has it worse than all of us. I wish I could alleviate his burden but I can't. I just hope he doesn't do anything stupid," Liam said. We all nodded. I sat back down. We all just sat there. No one moved or talked. There wasn't room for any of that. There was no room for smiles or any other emotion but disconsolation.

"He Zayn do you want to go out somewhere today?" I knocked on Zayn's door. It was morning and Paul had said we had the day off. Louis and Harry had left to the mall, Liam had left to talk with Lou about Lux and I was stuck here alone. Bored. I tried to find some food to eat but nothing seemed appetizing. There was no response.

"Zayn?" I knocked once more this time the door opened a bit. I leaned in a bit and heard Zayn's faint whispering. He was tossing and turning in his bed.

"Kenzie, Kenzie please don't leave me. I need you. I need you. You're the only thing that lets me sleep. Kenzie? Kenzie?" Zayn said. Man, Zayn really had bad nights. I never thought it was this bad. Of course that's why he was always a sleeper; I would be too if I had someone constantly interrupt my sleep. I think I should wake him. I walked into his room careful not to make noise.

As I got near his bed Zayn began to talk once more.

"How are you here?" Zayn said. Was he talking to me? No he couldn't be. Zayn then began to glow. He had stopped tossing in turning. What was going on? He continued to glow. I stared at him. His brows creased and then relaxed. He was getting his sleep. He began to glow brighter. This wasn't normal.

"Zayn, Zayn!" I nudged him but he wouldn't wake. I finally shoved him and his eyes shot open.

"What the hell, Niall!" He said.

"You were talking in your sleep and you were glowing," I said.

"Sorry. Thanks for waking me up. Where's everyone?" Zayn said a bit groggily. He looked awful. Had he gotten any sleep?

"No. All night Kenzie wouldn't let me sleep." He said. Damn again. I couldn't keep my thoughts in my head. I nodded.

"Do you want to go out? Everyone else just disappeared. It's just you and me," I said. He rolled over and got up.

"Um yeah sure, let me just take a shower to wake up. Can we go to Starbucks or something for some coffee?" He said as he walked towards his bathroom.

"Yeah. Okay," I said.

It took him about an hour to get out the shower. I bet he slept a bit in there. When he came out of his room he was all ready to leave.

"Off to Starbuck's" I said.
