"I can't believe it.. I liked that house too." I mutter sadly. "Would there be a.... a POSSIBILITY, we could go back?"
"No. It's way too dangerous." Rick says, shaking his head.
"Ugh. All our stuff is back there too." Carl says."It's fine, at least nobody is dead." Michonne says.
"At least." I agree with a smile.
"Here's the Crazy Cheese. Now cheer up." Carl tells me and I nod at him with a smile. As he tosses me the Crazy Cheese I fumble to catch it but manage. Eating it with glee. He chuckles at me.
"What? Crazy Cheese is good." I tell him, my mouth full of the weird spray cheese."Ew, dude, didn't you tell me to swallow before speaking." Carl says. I blush at the way he phrased that, my eyes widening. "No! no! Not like THAT."
"Yeah, I did." I smile cheekily. "Well shit. I ran out of Crazy Cheese." I toss the can aside. "Oh well." I shrug. "It was good while it lasted.""Someone was hungry." I nod at Michonne. "Gonna have to start giving you more rations."
I laugh at the joke. "No, no, it's just.. I've starved myself yesterday, you know, to save food." I smile."Oh. Eat, please." Michonne says, tossing me a granola bar that I pry open.
"I'm not gonna deny you, Michonne, but if Carl or Rick asked me it would have been a no." I smile and bite into the granola bar.
"I'm making sure you eat from now on." Carl states, looking at me.
"Can't stop me. I only listen to my Mother Figure." She laughs and shakes her head.
"Nope. I'll shove it down your throat if I have too." Carl laughs and turns away. I look at the floor. Carl's always cared about me like this, but now it makes me warm, happier, it feels.. different.
"Huh." Rick says. I look up at him. "Anyone else get a random boost of energy?" I shake my head.
"Er... No?" Carl says.
"Nope." Michonne replies, tapping her katana against the ground like a blind person's cane before sheathing it.
"Weird." Rick shrugs and continues walking. I drum on my thighs as I walk, humming a bit.
"What are you humming?" Carl steps closer to me, questioning my tune.
"Oh, Tip Toe thru' the window. Remember when I sang it to the kids?" He nods. "I... I've had it stuck in my head since then." I say sadly.
"I have twinkle twinkle little star stuck in my head because of you." Carl grins, nudging my shoulder and I laugh."That's what you get for sneakily listening to me sing, loser." I say with a smile.
"Well don't blame me for hearing you in the hall and thinking your voice was nice." I blush, not sure if it's with embarrassment, I'm conflicted on something.
"Uhm.. Thanks." I look off to the distance, clearing my face to it's normal pale white and not a light pink.
"Of course!" He smiles with a nod.
"Now I need to hear you sing." Michonne says with a teasing grin and I sigh.
"No, no, nobody's hearing me sing." I tell them."Aw.." Carl mumbles, disappointed.
"Sorry, not sorry." I shrug. Michonne hums in agreement.
"It's alright, Joseph, no one's forcing you!" Michonne says. "Even though I'd LIKE to hear you sing." I shake my head with a laugh.
"Aw man.." Carl grumbles. "I was HOPING, you'd do it for Michonne."
"Nope! Nobody. Nobody has no exceptions." I smile. "You and the kids got lucky." I tell him with a sly eyeroll.
