Raghav got down the stairs to see his grandpa all set to go somewhere making him frown 'Are you going somewhere grandpa?'

'Accompany me! I've a task for you' Grandpa instructed making Raghav nod and follow him out.

The driver drove the car off the mansion premises after they both sat down in the backseat of the car making Raghav ask 'What happened?'

'Do you remember Narayana uncle?' Grandpa asked.

'He and his wife died five years back in an accident. What about them?' Raghav asked.

'They had a daughter. Vachya Narayana. After her parents death her paternal uncle and aunt became her guardians. But recently I've received a news that she's going to get married' Grandpa informed.

'That's a good news. What does the groom do? Maybe we can help them financially for marriage' Raghav suggested making grandpa glare at him.

'This marriage can't happen' Grandpa stated.

'Are we going there to stop the marriage? I'll not do such thing' Raghav angrily spat.

'The marriage will not stop. She is the bride but she'll be your bride' Grandpa dropped the bomb.

'What?' Raghav yelled.

'Don't raise your voice boy' Grandpa scolded.

'I'll do no such thing. I'm just twenty years old for god sake and you want me to marry her that too by stopping her from marrying the actual groom. You must be insane' Raghav yelled at him making the driver widen his eyes.

'Watch your words! You were already married when you were seven years old. Your marriage was betrothed to her and according to the royal rituals and traditions you are her husband already' grandpa stated making Raghav widen his eyes.

'Child marriage is not accepted in the society' Raghav shook his head.

'We know! That's the reason we decided to wait until Vachya turned eighteen so we could officially announce the marriage but unfortunately her parents died in an accident and now her uncle and aunt are trying to marry her off to someone else' Grandpa shrugged.

'She can fight for herself. Let's not involve in it and this so called betrothal and royal marriage I don't accept it' Raghav huffed making Grandpa glare at him.

'That's the problem Raghav. She can't fight for herself. Because she's just thirteen years old' Grandpa dropped the bomb.

'They are doing a child marriage! What are the police doing? It's a crime' Raghav spoke.

'Her uncle is the MLA so no one will dare to go against him. That's why we are going there so we could save her since you both are in a betrothal and an agreement was made that she's a part of our family' Grandpa explained making Raghav grit his teeth and looked outside the window to see the car entering into the village.

'Hello! Raja vaaru' The DGP greeted once they reached the mandapam.

'Don't back out on the MLA's warnings. We have to take Vachya to my home' Grandpa started walking inside the wedding venue.

Seeing the police everyone started whispering making MLA cover up 'I invited them for the marriage after all we are co-workers' and rushed to the police.

'What are you doing here?' MLA gritted out.

'Sir! We received a complaint that you're forcing your neiece to marry and that too a child marriage' DGP replied.
