"Hi! Abhi! Looking for Keerthi?" Janu teased making Abhi widen his eyes slightly making her chuckle.
"Umm! Where is sir?" Abhi asked.
"I think you should start calling him baava (brother -in-law) now and me too" Lucky adviced.
"We'll be relatives after I marry Keerthi but that doesn't mean I can forget my professionalism sir" Abhi smiled.
"I'm happy that Keerthi found such a fitting and honest partner" Geethu praised Abhi.
"Annayya is in his home office. But what's that in your hand?" Lucky asked.
"It's an invitation for a charity event organised by Chowdary's" Abhi handed him the invitation.
"Wow! The heiress of Chowdary's returned home and they are throwing her birthday party as a charity event" Lucky read out the lines making everyone raise their eyebrows while Janu frowned.
"It's shopping time then" Keerthi excitedly held Janu's arm.
"What shopping?" Janu asked.
"We've to choose a dress for the event idiot" Keerthi stated the obvious.
"I'm not going" Janu shrugged off Keerthi's arm.
"Everyone is invited in the house and that includes you" They heard Raghav who was descending the stairs.
"Do you really want me to go?" Janu asked.
"Didn't I just say that?" Raghav shook his head and walked out with Abhi to his office.
That afternoon the ladies in the house went to shop in a big botique for custom made dresses. And the staff greeted the Rudramaneni ladies with utmost respect since they are rich and influential family and also from royal blood line.
"Show her the party dresses too" Geethu ordered making the ladies nod and bring out dresses in Janu's size too.
Janu rejected everything they bought even after showing nearly twenty dresses making the staff look at each other helplessly and went to bring Bhanu who walked to Janu "What happened?"
"I don't feel like they are made for me" Janu shrugged.
"Which color do you want to take?" Bhanu asked.
"Something in grayish black just like your son's eyes" Janu replied making everyone stop what they are doing and look at her "Uhh...I meant his eyes are same color as my favourite color. His eyes are the best example to let the staff know which color they have to pick out" making everyone nod.
'Foolish creature! You can't just let your feelings and mouth run like that' Janu scolded herself as the staff took out all grayish black frocks and showed them one by one. And finally Janu picked the seventh dress which has white, black and grey in it and simple yet elegant making Bhanu approve.
IN THE EVENING.....................................
In the evening Keerthi and Geethu went down to see everyone already gathered in the living room waiting for them. Abhi walked forward and extended his palm for Keerthi to hold making her place her palm in his and both of them walked towards the family making them smile.
"Where's Janu?" Lakshmi Devi asked.
"She is on a phone call. She'll be here in a few seconds" Geethu spoke.
Just then they heard footsteps making them turn towards the stairs to see Janu descending the stairs in a greyish black party gown slowly making everyone smile at her simple yet elegant look while Raghav frowned turning away from her as his breath sped up.
'Why isn't he looking at me?' Janu thought as she walked towards Geethu.
"Let's go" Raghav stated and walked out followed by everyone towards the cars.
