The next morning everyone was seated in the living room waiting for poojari gaaru to fix a date and time for the engagement of Keerthi and Abhi. Poojari gaaru was looking at his book with calenders and horoscopes and counting his fingers calculating the best date and time for the couple to officially get engaged "Amma! Both of their horoscopes matches well. The day after tomorrow is the best date for the engagement ceremony in the morning at 10:06".

"Isn't it too early? We've a lot of works to do" Bhagya looked at Abhi's parents.

"The engagement should be done the day after tomorrow and the marriage will be the next week otherwise there are no auspicious dates for another six months" Poojari gaaru informed.

"Umm...if it is okay with your family we'll fix the dates" Veeraju looked at Abhi's parents for their opinion.

"Ofcourse it is okay with us" Mohan nodded and looked at his wife who nodded at him.

"It is fixed then. I'll send you a list of items you need for the engagement ceremony to bride and groom's side" Poojari gaaru nodded and stood up making Lakshmi Devi nod at Bhanu who bought the thambulam and handed it to Keerthi who gave it to poojari gaaru before he took his leave.

"We'll plan shopping after lunch" Kalyani insisted.

"We'll take care of the decoration and guests lists" Veeraju agreed with Mohan's decision.

Raghav was frustrated and irritated. He didn't understand why his family members are playing with him like this. He wanted to throw something but unfortunately he's in a car and public nuisance is not considered good for the image of his family.

"I smell something burning" He heard the manipulator from beside him.

"It must be the engine" Raghav ignored her trying to concentrate on the driving.

"I thought it was your stomach" Janu mumbled making him glare at her as she smiled at him smugly.

"Why are you even coming with me instead of shopping with the ladies of the house?" Raghav asked.

"Because I can" Janu shrugged.

"Why don't you answer properly to any question" Raghav shook his head.

"I don't like shopping. I think irritating you is much funnier than any other work" Janu smiled at him.

'What sin did I do in my previous life that I met this girl?' Raghav cursed himself.

"I could go to catrers myself. I don't understand why you are tagging along" Raghav huffed.

"One reason is irritating you but the real reason is buying a gift for Keerthi" Janu was honest this time.

"You could have gone with the ladies" Raghav pointed out.

"Let's select a gift for Keerthi together so she wouldn't get to know what it'll be" Janu reasoned making him roll his eyes.

As Raghav was talking with the catrers Janu clicked his pictures with her phone and smiled as he got into the driving seat "What do you want to buy?"

"Umm.... jwellery. What about you?" Janu looked at him turning her mobile off.

"Same here" Raghav mumbled as he drove in the direction of the jewellery store.

"What will you gift your wife?" Janu asked out of blue making him apply breaks.

"What?" Raghav questioned.

"You'd be married some day so wouldn't you want to gift your wife too?" Janu looked at him curious.

His face turned serious "I neither want to marry nor I want to buy something for my wi- for anyone" Raghav got out of the car making her follow him inside the store.

"Buy whatever you want" Raghav just sat down on the chair beside her making her look around.

"Show me diamond bracelets?" Janu asked the salesman who nodded and went inside to bring the pieces.

Janu took out all the pieces and showed them to Raghav who always pointed out some fault in the pieces she picked out.

"Too thin"

"Too heavy"

"Too shiny".

Janu scoffed as she put the twelfth piece down glaring at him "Why don't you just select one instead of judging my taste?"

"It's your gift so select it yourself and I was just giving my opinion" Raghav looked around the shelves which held necklaces.

"Pack this" Janu handed a bracelet to the salesman making Raghav look at the salesman hands.

"I'm not showing you. Don't want your judgy eyes on my gift" Janu turned her head arrogantly making him scoff.

"Pack that set too" Raghav pointed out to the second shelf making Janu smile appreciatively at his taste

"It's not too late to buy one for your wife too" Janu adviced.

"I told you there's no such thing going to happen" Raghav gritted out.

"Then buy one for me" Janu looked at him hopefully.

"Why would I buy for you?" Raghav frowned.

"Because I'm going to be you-" Janu blinked her eyes making him turn towards her.

"Hmm?" Raghav was looking at her waiting for her to complete her line.

"Uhh... I'm going to become wife too in the future so I'll be remembering you that you bought something for me" Janu covered up smiling at him sheepsihly.

"Ask your future husband to buy one" Raghav got up and walked towards the billing counter.

'I just asked' Janu thought as she followed him smiling.
