Vachya was roaming back to back in her room balcony when she heard the car sound and looked down to see Raghav's car coming inside and rushed downstairs. It was already ten'o clock and he had a late night meeting for the coming up project promotion so he had to work a few extra hours this week.
Raghav walked inside to see Vachya in the hall with only a bed light in the living room "Why didn't you sleep yet?"
"I was waiting to have dinner with you. I'll bring the dinner to your room. Go and wash up" Vachya replied before rushing into the kitchen while he sighed and went to his room.
Vachya took the big tray full of small bowls and two plates from the kitchen and walked out and was about to go towards the stairs but stopped putting the tray on the teapoy before going to the pooja area and took some akshintalu (turmeric grains) praying to goddess and then picked up the tray going towards Raghav's room.
When Vachya pushed open the door to Raghav's room she saw that he has showered and changed into his night wear making her walk towards the swing and put the tray on the swing as he walked towards her. She forwarded her hand making him raise his eyebrows questioning her as to what it is "Today is Varalakshmi vratam. Wives do pooja for their husbands and take blessings from their husbands and then break their fast. So bless me first so we can have dinner together".
"You fasted? For me? Did I ask you to do that?" Raghav scolded her.
"I'm hungry" Vachya simply stated making him take the akshintalu from her hand while she bent down and touched his feet as he showered the akshintalu on her head blessing her.
She stood up straight and sat down on the swing with him opposite to her with the food tray between them. Raghav served the food in the plates and handed a plate to her and both of them started eating silently. She completed her food faster than him since she was on fast for the whole day and washed her hands before drinking water and sat down opposite him looking at him.
"Peniviti....I want to ask you something" Vachya broke the silence after a few seconds as he completed his food and opened the water bottle.
"What is it?" He asked as he took a sip of water.
"Umm....Can I kiss you?" Raghav spit out the water making her gasp and immediately wipe his mouth with her pallu.
"A..are you out of your mind? Behave according to your age" Raghav got up and washed his hands before closing the lids on the empty bowls making her pout.
"I'm not a kid anymore. I know everything" Vachya huffed.
"What do you know?" Raghav asked as he put the food tray in the small elevator that connects to the kitchen from his room and pressed a button making the elevator move down taking the empty plates and bowls to the kitchen.
"That I can kiss you because you're my husband" Vachya spoke making him gulp and avoid her gaze.
"Where did you learn all this nonsense?" Raghav angrily questioned.
"There are other things I learnt in Australia but I only want a kiss for now" Vachya innocently moved her face close to him making him blink once, twice before getting up and dragged her out of his room.
"Go and sleep out your stupid dreams" Raghav shut the door on her face and pressed his forehead to the closed door sighing slowly.
