"Come with me" Ordering Bhagya held her daughter's wrist.
"Where?" Keerthi put her mobile in her jeans pocket.
"To the kitchen" Bhagya pulled Keerthi up on her feet.
"Why?" Keerthi was confused.
"What do you mean by why? You're going to get married and you're asking me why? Don't you want to cook in your in laws house?" Bhagya asked.
"They have a maid" Keerthi replied making Bhanu hit the back of her neice's head "Ahhh...kannamma(mom's elder sister)".
"What if maid was on leave? Or what will you cook on your first day at your in laws or worse what will you cook when your husband asks to cook his favourite dish?" Bhanu asked.
"Fine! I'll learn cooking. Stop your questioning already" Keerthi huffed.

Hearing all these Janu asked "Is it really necessary for a girl to learn cooking?"
"Ofcourse! Even if it is not for in laws, she can cook for herself" Bhagya shrugged.
"Why can't men learn how to cook then?" Janu folded her arms.
"They can and they are in today's generation. But when I first made my first dish after marriage your mavayya was so impressed and I still remember the way he looked at me that day" Bhanu thought back to her first day after her marriage nostalgically.
"I also want to learn how to cook" Janu excitedly said making the trio look at her amused.

"I'm the one marrying. Why do you want to learn how to cook?" Keerthi shook her head.
"I also want to see a satisfied and happy smile on my husband's face" Janu shrugged making the ladies laugh while Keerthi rolled her eyes.
"Fine! Let's go start your cooking lessons now" Bhagya walked towards the kitchen followed by Bhanu, Janu and Keerthi.
"Let's start with basics. You both are going to cook paaysam" Bhagya ordered.
"No! I want to cook biryani" Janu folded her arms making the trio look at her as if she was mad.
"Biryani is like the third level dish Janu. If you don't like paaysam, I'll teach you how to cook a simple curry" Bhanu insisted.
"No! Attamma! I want to learn how to cook biryani...please...please...." Janu requested.
"Fine! I'll explain the process to you and you can make it on your own" Bhagya sighed making Janu grin and nod.
"I'll help you with paayasam" Bhanu walked towards Keerthi and started giving instructions just like Bhagya explained and helped Janu a little in making biryani.
Bhanu tasted the dish as Keerthi stood before her biting her nails for the result "You added more sugar but over all it's good".
"Thank God! I thought it would turn out worse" Keerthi sighed and tasted the dish herself moaning at the sweetness.
The niece and aunt looked at Janu who was adding rice in the big cooker and Bhagya who was garnishing the rice top with barista and ghee and closed the lid of the cooker while Janu turned the flame to medium "It'll be done in twenty minutes" which made Janu nod.
"You girls go and freshen up. I'll ask the maid to bring out the dishes to the dining table" Bhanu insisted making the girls nod and go to their rooms.
"I smell Biryani" Veeraju breathed in the fragrance as he took his seat at the dining table.
"Keerthi and Janu cooked for the first time today" Bhanu smiled making everyone look at both the girls.
"That's good! Let's see if your first dish is a hit" Lakshmi Devi nodded as the maid served them the lunch.
Everyone moaned at the taste as Geethu complimented "I love the taste of biryani and it definitely has a touch of chinnamma's hand".

"I instructed her the process but Janu is the one who cooked" Bhagya gave credit to Janu who smiled.
They heard footsteps and saw Raghav walking inside making Veeraju call him "Raghav! Come let's have lunch".
"I've an important call to take chinnanna" Raghav politely denied.
"I cooked biryani and Keerthi cooked paayasam today, you should at least taste it" Janu insisted.
"I already told you that I don't eat biryani" Raghav walked away making her sadly look at the plate.
"It's alright Janu. The biryani is good! Taste it yourself" Geethu tried to cheer her up.
Janu looked at the biryani angrily and walked away from the dining table making everyone raise their eyebrows while Keerthi pitied Janu "She's hurt".
"Well! He doesn't know anything except hurting people" Geethu huffed making everyone look at her refering to Raghav and shook their heads.
