NEVER ENDING LOVE

Raghav came out of the bathroom, towel drying his hair and stopped seeing Vachya standing before the family picture in his room looking at it intensely "You were all so happy".

"That was taken after Geethu akka's marriage" Raghav sat down on the bed after throwing the towel in the hamper.

"If only I hadn't written that letter and taatayya didn't bring me home you all would've been happy even now" Vachya put out her thoughts.

"It was my decision to bring you here" Raghav words made her face him "True that grandpa wanted to stop the marriage and all but if I had stood my ground about our betrothal then grandpa would've accepted my decision".

"Then why didn't you fight for your life?" Vachya asked.

"Did you want me to?" Raghav questioned her back.

"The answer to my question is not a question peniviti. Why did you accept our marriage?" Vachya turned serious.

"It was a promise between two families not just our grandfathers. But after seeing you sitting on that mandapam all I could think was to bring you out of that hell. I would've done the same if it were someone else in your place too. But after the time we spent together I didn't want to let go of you even if I planned to send you away because at some point of time I understood that I need you more than I thought" Raghav put his feelings out.

After a few seconds not hearing anything he was about to turn his head when he felt arms around him. Vachya hugged him making him sigh and hold her arm closing his eyes leaning his head on her chest hearing her heartbeats.

He moved back after a few minutes "Sit down first" and made her sit beside him "Talk to me".

"Let's tell them that I am Vachya" Vachya insisted.

"Why?" Raghav asked.

"We've to tell them one day anyhow. Let me do it tomorrow" Vachya avoided his gaze.

"So you want to go away again?" Raghav nodded making her look back at him.

"Where will I go? I'll be around you and take care of you" Vachya assured him.

"How? You'll not be able to live here once everyone knows you're Vachya" Raghav reminded her.

"But I'll be near you and take care of you from outside" Vachya gulped the raising emotion.

"You came all the way here as Janu so you can take care of me by being away from me?" Raghav asked.

"Atleast I can be near you like this" Vachya slowly said.

"So you changed your plan because of Geethu akka's words" Raghav nodded making her look at him.

"No! Peniviti why would I let someone effect our relationship" Vachya denied his conclusion.

"Geethu akka is in pain. And she wouldn't understand until we prove that you have nothing to do with the fire or Karthik baava's condition. Give me time so I could gather evidence little demon" Raghav explained.

Vachya teared up "I am the reason for everything peniviti. And you're taking the blame and all the accusation because of me. I don't want to see you in pain even if it meant staying away from you".

Raghav let go of her hand and held the back of her neck before pulling her for a hug making her rest her forehead to his shoulder as tears rolled down her cheeks "I thought the same thing. That's why I sent you away so you wouldn't face the hatred of my family and look where it has brought us now. I don't want you to repeat the same mistake I did little demon".

Vachya tried to pull back so she wouldn't wet his T-shirt with her tears but he didn't let her "One more minute" closing his eyes making her rest her chin on his shoulder and rounded her arms around him which made him relax into her arms.

"Peniviti!" Vachya slowly called.

"Hmm?" Raghav caressed her hair.

"Love you" Vachya whispered.

Raghav pulled back suddenly "One minute is up. Go and sleep".

She smiled "Goodnight peniviti!" and walked out of his room closing the door behind her.
