NEVER ENDING LOVE

AFTERMATH

10 YEARS BACK:

Raghav walked inside the mansion in wet clothes to see all the lights turned off except for the living room's. He frowned at the silence in the mansion but then again it was already past ten so everyone would be asleep. He heard footsteps and saw Mani greeting him "Peddababu gaaru! Everyone went to Rajamandri to attend a relative's marriage. Please freshen up and come I'll serve you dinner".

"There's no need Mani. I'll do it myself. Your husband is waiting go home and ask Venkayya to take the car since it's raining. He'll come and pick me up for the meeting tomorrow" Raghav ordered making Mani nod and was about to go out but stopped.

"Peddababu gaaru! Vachyamma didn't have her dinner. She said she'll have it later. I also kept food for her. I'll take my leave now" Mani went out to meet her husband so they can leave to their home.

Raghav directly went to Vachya's room but stopped himself from knocking. He decided to first freshen up so they both could have dinner together. After showering and changing he knocked on Vachya's door but she didn't open it "Little demon....open the door".

After a few seconds the door opened and he saw Vachya who smiled a little at him "Peniviti! Let's go and have dinner".

"Why didn't you eat till now?" Raghav questioned as he walked down the stairs with her behind him.

"I was not hungry" Vachya replied as she started serving both the plates.

She sat beside him and both of them started having dinner. She was eating rather slowly making him frown "Why are you playing with food Little demon? Eat and rest early".

Vachya nodded as Raghav went to wash his hands. Vachya started feeling dizzy making her shake her head so she wouldn't faint "Are you done?"

Hearing his voice from the kitchen Vachya stood up taking support of the dining table and picked her empty plate. She took a step forward but fainted making the palte fall down and break. Hearing the sound Raghav rushed into the dining hall to see Vachya on the ground "Vachya..... Vachya....".

He touched her forehead and felt her temperature high making him lift her into his arms and go upstairs to her room. He made her lie on the bed and covered her in the blanket before going into the bathroom and bought a mug full of cold water. He opened her closet and took a hanky dipping it in cold water before placing it on her forehead.

Her temperature went down after he changed the water almost seven times. She blinked her eyes open but everything was blurry to her. She gulped as her breaths turned heavy "Maa..".

Raghav sat on the bed and lifted her slightly "Little demon take the pills" saying her made her take the pills before laying her back on the bed.

"Peniviti...." Vachya whispered making him hold her hand.

"I'm right here little demon. Don't talk and rest" hearing Raghav's words she held his hand tightly turning onto her side facing him and put his hand under her cheek like a pillow as she fell asleep.

"I shouldn't have let you drench in the rain" Raghav spoke to her sleeping form caressing her hair as he stayed with her all night, checking if her temperature rose again in between.

Vachya blinked her eyes open and looked around the room before her gaze fell on her peniviti who was sitting on the chair beside the bed with his left palm under her cheek and him sleeping with his head resting on the side of the bed. She teared up recalling her mom and dad who took care of her when she was ill. She slowly lifted her head and pulled his arm from under her not disturbing his sleep and kissed the back of his hand.
