Raghav stood under the hot water with his palms on the wall thinking back to today's drama happened in his house. He can't call it his house anymore. After all he left evrything behind including the name that tagged along his name as VIP pass all these years.
He didn't know where to start or what to do but he has promised to himself that he'd prove Vachya's innocence. Vachya! His little demon! Well not little anymore. Surely she's grown into a fine young lady with so much stubbornness just like him. And now their jobs have reversed. She's gonna have to take care of him because he's penniless and jobless now.
But he's not ashamed because he'll be taking care of her and be close to her until his last breath now which he couldn't do all these years. Now he'll be able to celebrate everyday of their lives together even if he can't stay with his family. With these thoughts running through his head he showered and changed into the clothes she bought for him before walking out of the master bedroom.
He heard cluttering from the kitchen and walked towards the open kitchen to see Vachya showered and changed and turning off the flame and milk on the stove. She wiped the milk and threw the tissues in the dustbin before washing her hands.
"What happened?" Raghav asked.
"Since it's our new home and first day I boiled some milk and did milk frothing" Vachya smiled taking out the onions from the basket.
She peeled the onion and washed it before taking a knife and started chopping the onion slowly "That's not how you chop an onion. Let me do it" saying he pushed her aside gently and started chopping the onion.
"I can't even cook for you" Vachya pouted making his lips twitch.
"Did I ask you to cook?" Raghav asked making her shake her head "Sit down" and pushed her onto the bar stool gently before wearing an apron and took out the needed vegetables from the fridge and started chopping them after washing them.
"Peniviti! Umm...can I ask you something?" Vachya asked.
"Would you stop asking if I said no?" Raghav retorted.
"No...but tell me about your life when I wasn't with you" Vachya said.
"Well! I graduated and took over the company and I'm in one of the most eligible bachelors list of the country" Raghav said making Vachya frown.
"How are you a bachelor? Didn't we get married already?" Vachya pouted making him smile.
"You and I know that but not the outside world" Raghav reasoned.
"So! I can't be your wife then" Vachya pouted.
"You were, you are and will be my wife little demon. Stop thinking about other things for now" Raghav said making her frown.
"Stop calling me that. I'm not little anymore" Vachya raised her voice irked by the name given to her.
"Come here!" Raghav called her making her walk towards him and stood beside him. He moved his hands away from the stove "Stand before me" making her frown but stood before him facing the stove.
"If you need any help, I don't think I can do any-" her words stopped when he moved closer to her and bent his head a little resting his chin on her shoulder making her tilt her head to the left giving him easy access to her neck as he saute the ingredients caging her between his arms.
She gulped when she felt his warm breaths on her cheek as he whispered "Do you still think that I'm treating you as a little kid?"
Her cheeks turned red as he put the lid on the pan with one hand and the saute in the other bowl and held her hands placing them around her as if she was hugging herself with his arms on top of hers "B.. but you still treat me like one".
"That's because you were still a kid when we met and parted" Raghav mumbled making her tear up as she recalled the incident at the airport ten years back.
"I was so angry at you for sending me away from you" Vachya whispered making him turn her around with his arms on shoulders.
"It was needed even if it was a rash decision" Raghav reasoned making her look into his eyes.
"Don't you regret it?" Vachya asked.
"Well! After what it made you? Not anymore" Raghav honestly answered making her narrow her eyes.
"I still think you did wrong. Leaving me like that. All alone. I would've been okay if the whole family wasn't with me but you...you too left me" tears rolled down Vachya's cheeks making him wipe them away.
"But we'll be complete and happy with our family" Raghav reasoned turning off the flame "Let's eat! Bring the water bottle and plates" making Vachya walk to the fridge while he arranged the curry and rice on the dining table.
