The class was gathered in Lupins class expecting to be taught by their for once friendly defence against the dark arts teacher, but they were sorely disappointed when Professor Snape burst through the door and used his wand to close the shutters on each of the windows as he walked to the front of the classroom.
Snape pulled a cord and a projection screen lowered from the ceiling, the Professor turned and looked at the class with his usual stern look.
"Turn to page 394." Snape said coldly and emotionlessly.
The whole class opened their books, Ron was going through the book page by page as Y/N found page 394.
"Excuse me, sir. Where's Professor Lupin?" Harry asked as Snape glared daggers at him.
"That's not really your concern, is it, Potter? Suffice it to say that your professor finds himself incapable of teaching at the present time. Turn to page 394." Snape said as he tapped a projector with his wand, turning it on. Snape looked to Ron who was slowly going through his book still one page at a time. Snape swished his wand and Rons book jumped to page 394.
"Werewolves?" Ron asked in disbelief.
"But, sir, we've just begun learning about Red Caps and hinkypunks. We're not meant to start nocturnal beasts for weeks." Hermione stated from her seat next to Y/N that was until recently, empty.
"Quiet." Snape said.
"When did she come in? Did you see her come in?" Ron whispered to Y/N who claimed that Hermione had been there the whole time.
"Now...which one of you can tell me the difference an Animagus and a Werewolf?" Snape said as Hermione's hand shot up. "No one? How disappointing."
"Please, sir. An Animagus is a wizard who elects to turn into an animal. A werewolf for the most part has no choice. With each full moon, when he transforms, he no longer remembers who he is. He'd kill his best friend if he crossed his path, however there are werewolves that are afflicted differently. Furthermore, the werewolf only responds to the call of it's own kind." Hermione explained, Malfoy done a fake howl earning a chuckle even from Y/N.
'Bastard, he beat me by a second.' Y/N thought internally.
"Thank you, Mr. Malfoy. That is the second time you have spoken out of turn, Miss Granger. Are you incapable of restraining yourself or do you take pride in being an insufferable know-it-all?" Snape said as something in Y/N snapped. His stood up and Snape looked at him. "Yes, Mr Wolf?"
"What's wrong with you? You asked if anyone knew the answer to the question and then ignored Hermione when she put her hand up to give you the answer. Which was correct." Y/N snapped as Snape was taken aback by the boy's outburst. "I'd have thought you of all people would be above this sort of petty bullying, but I've noticed you treating all non-Slytherins like this, but specifically, Harry, Ron, and Hermione. Now I have the upmost respect for you but if you're bullying children...then quite frankly, it's pathetic!"
Snape looked almost hurt by the words.
"Y/N-?" Snape said as he looked shocked before Y/N picked up his bag and put it over his shoulder. "Where are you going?"
"I'm sick enough as it is, I doubt being in this mood will help me recover, and it's not like I need to be in this lesson is it?" Y/N said as he left, Daphne looked up at Snape and saw him looking down at her, she shook her head with disappointment...
