Dragons?

"Dragons? Are you fucking kidding me?" Y/N asked as Daphne told him later that night what she had seen.

"I'm afraid not." Daphne said as Y/N paused for a moment before standing up and heading up to his bookshelf, grabbing his magical creatures book and taking it down to Daphne.

"That should have most breeds of dragon in it, I think we should do what Hermione does in times like this and start studying." Y/N said as Daphne smirked before opening the book.

The next morning Daphne and Harry were walking through the corridor discussing what they knew about the first challenge, Y/N had warned Fleur about the Dragons, Daphne had warned Krum, and now she and Harry were going to warn Cedric. As they walked through the corridors they could see people wearing badges calling Daphne and Harry cheats and saying they stink, some wore badges calling Daphne a blood traitor, and a liar, though they were rare thanks to Snape taking the ones calling Daphne anything offensive off of people and giving them a detention. Snape appeared to be keeping an eye on Daphne, more so than usual.

Daphe and Harry walked to the garden courtyard passing more students with the badges. A student shoved Daphne as they walked past.

"Watch it, Greengrass." The student said as Harry went to stand up for her but Daphne stopped him.

"Leave it, don't give them what they want." Daphne said as she and Harry continued walking. As Daphne and Harry tried to go through a doorway a group of students tried to block them off, showing them the liar badges and the potter stinks badges.

"Excuse me." Harry said, trying to remain calm, eventually he just shoved past them.

Daphne went to get past but the students blocked her path.

"We let Harry past easy because Dumbledore wouldn't like it if we hurt the chosen one, but you. No one would care if a lying snake got cursed." The students said as Daphne chuckled.

"Excuse me." Daphne said with a small laugh, as if she wasn't even taking the threat seriously. Draco spotted this and was about to interfere when Daphne had had enough of this.

Daphne turned twisted another students wrist before she pointed her wand at the other student, pressing the tip of the wand into their throat, the student had their wand out as Daphne glared at them.

"Lower the wand...now." Daphne said coldly as the student lowered her wand. "Next time you feel like calling me a harassing me, bring more people, make it a fair fight, because this attempt was pathetic."

Daphne walked over to Cedric and Harry.

"--They've got one for each of us." Harry explained to Cedric.

"Are you serious?"

"Deadly." Daphne answered.

"And, um...Fleur and Krum, do they...?"

"Daphne sent Y/N to tell Fleur, and she told Krum just before she joined up with me." Harry stated as Daphne nodded.

"Okay. Hey listen. About the badges. I've told them not to wear them but--"

"It's fine, here, these are copies of my ones, they should help you against the Dragons regardless of what one you end up facing." Daphne said as he handed Cedric copies of the pages from the monster book Y/N had given her.

As Daphne and Harry were about to leave, Harry spotted Ron and approached him for a confrontation, Daphne shook her head and stood well away from the scene. She spotted Draco sitting up in a tree.

"Potter didn't put his name in that cup." Draco said as Daphne nodded. "Figured as much, his name was on the same piece as yours, and I doubt he'd be alive if he had done that, and I know you wouldn't put your names in."

"Well at least someone believes me." Daphne said as Draco looked at her.

"How's Y/N handling the whole thing?"

"About as well as you'd expect, given the circumstances." Daphne said calmly as she smiled, watching Harry and Ron part ways and sighing to herself.

"Where is Y/N?" Draco asked.

"He's working on finding out who put our names in that cup." Daphne answered as Draco nodded.

"So who's he beating for information?"

"Draco! Y/N isn't a thug, he's capable of talking to people in a civilized manner." Daphne said as she closed her eyes and took in the sound of the wind rustling through the tree, trying to remain calm given her situation...
