Y/N was raised by the Malfoy family since he was left with them as a small boy, over the years they have taught him of their beliefs and morals, most of which Y/N has rejected, but he respects them for raising him instead of casting him...
Y/N was back home at Malfoy manor after Narcissa had asked him to visit.
"You wished to see me mother?" Y/N asked as he arrived in the Floo chute.
"I will not have you looking like some scruffy Gryffindor on the night of the Yule ball, now come along, we're going shopping. Draco already has his, we just need to get yours."
Y/N soon found himself walking through Diagon alley with Narcissa.
"I assume Daphne already has her dress."
"This is Daphne, she's prepared for about anything. Of course she already has her dress." Y/N said as he chuckled. They walked into madam Malkins and looked through the formal wear. Y/N looked through them all before he saw a suit, it was a dark navy blue three piece suit.

Y/N paid with his own money as Narcissa looked at him, she smiled, happy he was able to at least enjoy this night. When they arrived at the manor Y/N was walking towards the Floo chute when Narcissa spoke.
"Y/N." Narcissa said as Y/N turned and looked at her.
"Yes?" Y/N asked with a smile.
"Enjoy your night. You deserve it." Narcissa said as Y/N smiled.
"I hope to Mother. I hope to." Y/N said as he left with his suit in it's case, using the floo chute to return to Hogwarts.
Later that week, Y/N was wearing his suit for the evening. McGonagall and the rest of the staff were readying the great hall for the ball.
"Have you seen Y/N anywhere lately, I should check his security plans." McGongall asked Albus who checked his watch.
All students from all four houses of Hogwarts from that were attending the ball were gathering in a classroom, with Daphne staying in their room to continue getting dressed. Ron and Harry being Ron and Harry, were late to the meeting. Y/N was stood in the middle of the room.
"Where are they?" Y/N asked as Hermione walked in.
"I don't know?" Hermione said as she saw the evident stress on his face from the day.
"Harry? Ron? Where are they?!" Y/N asked over the chattering of students.
The doors opened and the two boys walked in.
"I'm tellin' you now, we got lost, you really need to give us a map." Ron said as Y/N shook his head.
"Come on, hurry up." Y/N said as Harry and Ron sat with Hermione as Y/N lit a cigarette.
"Right, boys, girls, you're all here." Y/N said as he paused for a moment to take a pull on his cigarette. "Tonight, tonight is the Yule Ball-"
"Yeah, and told me there'd be no school uniforms or snakes." Ron said as Y/N looked at him.
