THIRD PERSON POV;
"Do bring with you your fathers for tomorrow's Father's Day party okay? If you're with your mothers then tell them to come, all as well. It will be more fun then." The kids responded to their teacher in glee and went on running to play out leaving only one little guy in the big room.
"Kiaan? Why are you still sitting here?" asks the teacher when she noticed Kiaan stayed still in his seat positioned by the far end row by the window. Kiaan only shook his head no as the teacher told him to go and play and eat with the other kids and reluctantly left. The school semester is ending and Kiaan was still alone; haven't made any friends and it's not like he ever wanted friends. Kiaan was silently looking out of the window until he spotted his Uncle Rehan waving up to him from the down the wide playground. Kiaan's mood suddenly lightens up a bit as he picked his bag and started running his way to the playground.
"Hey there dude." Says Rehan and offered his fist to Kiaan for a fist bump which Kiaan only gave back the gesture. "What do you want for lunch? I'll treat you to any restaurant and any food you want." Rehan proudly says as he took Kiaan's hand for hold but Kiaan only shrugged Rehan's hands telling him that only his mom is allowed to hold hands with him which Rehan only rolled his eyes to.
"And I don't want any food but my mumma's cooking."
"Jeez Kiaan, di can't do multi-tasking nowadays so you can't just go on and tell her or expect her to do all the things she's done for now. So let's go and have lunch outside; don't worry, this uncle will pay all the bills." Again Rehan says making Kiaan think of his mumma's situation these days so he agreed to go along with Rehan. Rehan just arrived back at Shimla telling everyone that he was to open up a branch of his big-time company in Shimla. Tho everyone disapproved of him opening such company in Shimla, of course, as hardheaded as Rehan is, he still went and proved everyone's doubt wrong.
"Then bring me to the Philippines. I want to have lunch in the Philippines." Rehan stopped on his track looking at Kiaan in confusion as Kiaan only looked up at him innocently. "Why this kid."
"What? you told me you'd treat me then let's go to the Philippines because it's the only place that's cooks the same dishes as how my mumma cooks my favorite, adobo." Rehan chuckled and resumed walking with Kiaan whilst ruining his hair with his large hands. "It's not even di's favorite food nor anyone's favorite food; how did you end up liking that Philippine dish?"
"Because it's what mumma always cooks and she says it's delicious so it's my favorite."
"Okay, dude. You're overly obsessed with your mumma now. Just eat whatever you want and let's go; we're about to skip lunch if we stay here longer." Says Rehan and accompanied Kiaan to enter his Mercedes car.
.......
"I always tell you to not drag my son out with your silly hangouts Rehan jeez, you will be the death of me. I have no problem with naughtiness of my son but here you are being a big-dump of headache."
"But Di—"
"No buts Rehan!" Rehan only pouted at Ishita as Ishita just rolled her eyes on the grown man now acting cute and even holding Ish's hands trying to catch her attention. Meanwhile, Kiaan only laughed at how Rehan was having a hard time explaining why they were late to go back home. It was already 6pm when they both got home after going out and playing and shopping and just looking around like tourists. Although Rehan enjoyed the most and not Kiaan. And when they got home, Ish was already at the front door with crossed hand and her eyes shooting lasers on Rehan.
After long hours with just basically ignoring Rehan, Ish finally sat on her bed and massaged her temples when her door opened and there was Kiaan slowly approaching her. "Mumma, I'm sorry for coming home late." Ish only smiled and asked Kiaan to come to her as she only hugged him tight telling him it's okay and it's Rehan's fault. And of course, as the mature-responsible man Kiaan is, he told Ish that it's both their fault because Kiaan also enjoyed the hangout that he didn't notice how it was already getting dark by the time they decided to go home. Ish smiled fondly and proudly at her son and told Kiaan to sit on her lap. "No, mumma. I can't sit on your lap now because you'll get hurt and the baby might get injured too. And mumma, rests now; don't move too much and just relax. Tell me what I have to do and I will do it for you."
