In chapter 5 of the anime novel, titled "Ride with the Sky: Part Three," Samael and Keino continue their journey together. They come across a village where Keino is recognized as a leader. Suddenly, a large flying beast, an Aza pterodactyl, appears, causing panic among the villagers. Keino introduces the creature as Keina and assures Samael that she is harmless. They mount Keina and soar through the sky, with Samael reflecting on his mission to stop the emperor.
During their flight, Keina's eyes turn fiery green, and she accelerates to incredible speeds, creating a fiery green wormhole. They emerge from the wormhole and find themselves in a new location. Keino admits he doesn't know where they are exactly but believes they are not far from the emperor.
Keina lands near the entrance of a cave, and Samael and Keino continue their journey on foot. Inside the cave, they encounter bats, and Keino struggles to fight them off. Samael watches with disappointment but eventually helps Keino defeat the bats. As they venture deeper into the cave, they encounter more bats and face increasing heat and screeching sounds.
The chapter ends with the question of whether Samael and Keino will overcome the terror that lies ahead or if they will fall victim to it.
