In Chapter 20, titled "Pterodac εκδίκηση—Vengeance: Part 3," Samael survives the fall from the wooden elevator shaft with the help of his Azureus orb. Abbie expresses relief at his survival, but their conversation turns tense as Samael dismisses their relationship as mere companionship. Abbie disappears momentarily, but Samael calls for her to continue their journey.
As Samael travels through the cave alone, he encounters Aza bats and black liquid human-like creatures. Abbie suggests using a train cart to escape, and Samael reluctantly agrees. He fights off the creatures while the cart moves, causing a quake that collapses the cave ceiling. Samael jumps off the cart and lands safely, but the entrance is blocked.
Samael encounters a man named Andrew-the Great, who leads him to his home inside the mines. Andrew shares the story of a treasure hunter named Andrew-the Great Miner, who discovered a valuable treasure but was betrayed by the Pterodac kingdom. Samael expresses interest in the black liquid human-like creatures, and Andrew reveals that the Pterodac kingdom secured the discovery.
Suddenly, loud screeching sounds echo through the mine, indicating the approach of a dangerous creature. Andrew urges Samael to follow him if he wants to survive.
