In chapter 7 of the anime novel, Samael and Keino continue their journey through the dark and cold caves. Samael shares with Keino about his disappearance and the strange visions he's been having. They encounter bats and larger creatures in the caverns, and Samael keeps seeing a dark hooded man who leads him into one of the chambers. Keino is concerned about Samael's behavior and tries to figure out how to help him. They battle against the bats and Keino reveals his desire to become an Aza knight, inspired by a friend from the Aza land. Samael learns about the history of Aza and the potential threat of the reborn Pterodac kingdom. They agree to stop the emperor and continue exploring the chambers. They encounter more bats and a terrifying creature that is half man and half bat. They defeat the creature and move on to another chamber. Samael has a vision of the dark hooded man again and follows him cautiously. They approach the pterodactyl's den and Samael fights off the pterodactyls while Keino tries to find an exit. Chaos ensues, and Samael falls through the sky surrounded by pterodactyls. The chapter ends with Samael battling the creatures and wondering where his next journey will lead him.
