In Chapter 8, titled "The River of Aza," Samael wakes up near the bank of the Aza River and learns from Abbie that it is a river where great prophecies flow from the out-lands of Aza to the Aza empire. Samael decides to visit the emperor before heading to the out-lands. Abbie shows him the direction to the Aza empire, and Samael sets off, following the Aza River.
As he travels, Samael encounters triceratops and engages in battle, using his sword and the Azureus orb to teleport and dodge their attacks. After defeating the triceratops, Samael has a vision of a dark hooded man by the river bank. He approaches the man and asks about the prophecies that flow in the river. The man reveals that the prophecies date back to the beginning of the Pterodac civilization and predict the fall of both the Pterodac and Aza kingdoms. The man advises Samael to follow the river to find his answers.
Continuing his journey along the river bank, Samael encounters more triceratops corpses and comes across an area called "Azura rituals." There, he meets an old man who speaks about the prophecies and the importance of the Azura river. The old man claims to be the only one who understands the river's messages and mentions a prophecy about the emperor's betrayal. Samael reveals that he already knows about the betrayal, which is set to happen at midnight.
The old man insists that Samael still needs him and the river's guidance. He leads Samael to a spot where he performs a ritual, causing the Azura River to part and reveal a circle of light on the dry ground. Samael enters the circle and feels a great presence before being caught by the river's waters and dragged along its current.
The chapter ends with Samael being carried away by the river, leaving readers curious about his fate in the next chapter.
