Samael confronts the dark-hooded man, but is pushed back by the emperor's magic. The fight continues inside the palace, with Samael using his teleportation to dodge the emperor's attacks. However, the ground starts collapsing, and Samael must find a way to escape. Abbie advises him to keep moving, and Samael jumps from pillar to pillar until he reaches a large one to continue battling the emperor. The emperor reveals that he led Samael to the cave to witness his newfound power, which comes from an ancient beast called Theia. The emperor explains that the pendant worn by his men symbolizes Theia's power. Samael questions the emperor's motives, and the emperor reveals that his father, Azazel, was the first high priest of the Pterodac kingdom. He claims that his land is becoming stronger and not succumbing to weakness like in ancient times. The emperor and Samael continue their fight on the collapsing pillar, but Samael manages to escape with the help of Keina, who flies him to safety. As they fly away, Samael notices a larger creature in the distance and wonders about the emperor's true identity.
