Nitya blinked away the last bits of sleep and sat up, stretching her arms with a contented smile. She glanced out the window, where the soft morning sun and a gentle breeze combined to make the room feel cozy and peaceful.

The events from last night hit her like a wave of memories, and she couldn't help but chuckle softly, her cheeks flushing with a light pink.

Nitya finally grabbed her phone after it rang non-stop. "Hey, Arushi!" she answered with a warm tone.

Catching the joy in Nitya's voice, Arushi couldn't help but guess what was behind her cheerfulness. "No way, girl. You confessed?" she asked, and Nitya just blushed and hummed in response. "I'm so happy for you!" Arushi exclaimed, clearly thrilled for her friend.

Adwait pulled Nitya closer by the waist and began playing with her hair while she tried to talk to Arushi. Despite her efforts to focus, his touch was making it hard for her to concentrate.

"Are you okay, Aru. Th-?" Nitya trailed off as Adwait's lips traveled along her jawline and beneath her ear. She tried to squirm away, but he just growled and tightened his grip on her.

"Oh, yes, I'm fine. Don't worry. I gave that guy a good talking-to," Aru confessed proudly. But then she heard some strange noises and frowned. "Where are you, Nitya?"

Nitya's eyes widened. Arushi might have been picking up on the sounds of their kisses. She tried to squirm free again, but couldn't manage it. Desperate, she shot pleading glances at Adwait, who just shook his head, staring intently at her.

"Forget it, Nitya. Come out now. We need to leave before your father finds out we're missing," Arushi said quickly.

The mention of her father made the color drain from Nitya's face, a change Adwait noticed immediately. "I'm coming," she said quickly, ending the call.

"What happened, Jaan?" Adwait asked, cupping her cheeks gently.

"Adwait, I have to go. Arushi made up a story saying her sister-in-law is in the hospital and we need to be there. That's why Papa let me out at this hour. He's at the hospital now, and we have to get there ASAP before he finds out we're missing," she explained quickly.

"Ohh..." Adwait acknowledged with understanding. "But you just got here. I didn't even get five minutes to spend with you." He couldn't help but let his sullen mood show.

"I promise I'll spend the whole day with you tomorrow. But please, let me go now," Nitya tried to convince him.

After some intense bargaining, he finally agreed.

She jumped out of bed and headed straight to the bathroom, eager to get ready and go to the university. After a quick shower, she slipped into a new outfit she'd bought a few days ago and added just a touch of makeup to complete her look.
