A Molten Discovery

As Ben and the awestruck Penny started approaching Beacon, the girl from Atlas was in awe of what she was seeing right now. All the green, the different student's she isn't used to and the different friend groups hanging around the courtyard. As the duo started approaching various students Ben had interacted with a couple times all said hi to the Ultimatrix wielder who would greet them back. "Hey Ben." One student waved as Ben waved back.
"Morning Shiro." Ben waved as the two headed towards Ozpin Tower.
"You sure know a lot of people don't you Ben?" Penny asked as Ben shrugged.
"I guess, I'm also technically a staff member so it could also be out of obligation towards me." Ben replied casually as he noticed Team CVFY approaching.
"G-Good morning Ben." Velvet smiled softly with a dust of pink on her cheeks.
"Morning Velvet," Ben immediately responded with a similar soft smile "Good morning to you guys' too Coco, Fox and Yatsu." Ben smiled.
"We're second fiddle I see." Coco teased; Ben didn't understand this however Velvet fully understood what Coco meant by this.
"Ah, got it. This is Penny, an Atlas student here for the Vytal Festival." Ben thought this was what Coco was talking about.
"Nice to meet you Penny, you should join us for lunch." Yatsuhashi offered as Penny tilted her head.
"Like what...friends do?" Penny asked, barely able to contain her excitement.
"If it stops you shaking like a jackhammer sure." Coco chuckled lowering her signature sunglasses.
"My friend total in Vale has Quadrupled Ben!" Penny grinned excited.
"I think you should stop counting now, it might get hard to remember soon." Ben chuckled.
"Oh, I wouldn't forget something like this." Penny smiled.
"Like you forgot you were on the floor back with Weiss?" Ben brought up.
"That was unimportant." Penny grinned.
'Woah you were on the ground with Weiss Schnee, what did you do wrong?' Fox joked, looking at everyone else for a laughter which Velvet indulged.
"She ran into me on accident whilst chasing a Faunus." Penny smiled.
"That...makes too much sense considering the rumours about that family." Velvet awkwardly replied, a sad look forming on her face.
"Rumours about Weiss' family?" Ben asked, this being the first he heard of this.
"Yeah her father owns The Schnee Company who have 'reportedly' got controversial labour rights. The rights mostly affecting poor Fauni who work for the company." Coco explained.
"She certainly seemed like she held low regards for Fauni especially considering her earlier argument with Blake." Ben sighed.
"It makes sense why Blake was getting annoyed considering she herself is a Faunus." Penny spoke up as Team CVFY and Ben turned to the Atlesian confused.
"What do you mean, she isn't a Faunus?" Ben asked.
"What about her Cat Ears then? She clearly had some under her bow." Penny responded.
"...has anyone seen her ears before?" Velvet asked as the group all shook their heads.
"Holy shit she is a Faunus." Coco cussed in shock.
'How did you not notice Ben; you've hung out with them the most!' Fox quickly asked.
"I'm not from here how I am supposed to know what traits to look for in a Faunus, you know this Fox!" Ben retorted as the group, bar Penny, burst out in laughter.
"We're not the smartest bunch huh?" Yatsuhashi chuckled.
"To be fair I have heard no theories about Blake being a Faunus this whole time, not even from her Team or Team JNPR." Ben then spoke up again.
"Sorry Ben, I believe we have seven minutes to get to Ozpin's office. Is it close?" Penny asked as Ben then remembered why he and Penny was there to start with.
"Oh yeah, sorry guys see you at lunch." Ben smiled as he started leading Penny towards Ozpin Tower.
"See you guys at lunch." Velvet waved Ben and Penny off before turning to her team who all had smug faces on their faces.
"She has so fallen hard." Coco teased as the Rabbit Faunus then turned red immediately.

As the elevator Ben and Penny found themselves in got to the top a breeze started entering the lift as the door slowly opened. Penny was once again awestruck at what she was seeing, this tower was almost as tall as Atlas Academy and it was just for the staff mostly. "Do you have an office in the tower Ben?" Penny asked as the two stepped into the room.
"Technically I do but I don't use it, a friend does." Ben said not saying too much about Azmuth.
"Welcome to Beacon Miss Polendina, how are you enjoying your time in Vale so far?" Professor Ozpins soft voice interrupted our conversation as Penny turned her head to see Professor Ozpin sitting at his desk with his staff next to him.
"It has been wonderful so far; I have met so many nice people." Penny smiled.
"That is great to hear, now normally I will not be welcoming the Vytal Students personally but considering how high regards James has of you I felt this was appropriate in welcoming your stay." Ozpin smiled.
"That is very appreciated Professor, Professor Ironwood told me about your generous hospitality." Penny responded.
"He overexaggerates. Now for your rooming you will be staying the room over from Ben with your aide. I don't believe Miss Soliel has made it here yet has she?" Professor Ozpin asked as Penny shook her head.
"Ciel hasn't got here yet, but she is due next Saturday." Penny answered precisely.
"Ah I see. Moving onto more pressing matters it has come to my attention one of your previous teammates dropped out of the tournament leaving you with yourself, Miss Soliel and Mr Albright. Now your Team name will still be the same however for the sake of your participation I have offered Ben here a spot on your Team if you would want to have him." Ozpin offered as Penny's eyes widened with joy.
"That sounds incredible! You'd like Ciel and Alan Ben, Ciel is so calm and cool, and Alan can turn into this molten rock thing!" Penny explained excited as Ben thought something.
"This Alan, when he is the 'molten rock' does his head turn on fire and can he shoot fire balls?" Ben asked as Penny nodded.
"How did you know?" Penny asked.
"He is from my universe." Ben realized as Ozpin sat up in his seat.
"Are you sure Ben?" Asked the headmaster of Beacon Academy.
"I'm positive, what Penny is describing is a Pyronite- an alien I used to be able to transform into as a kid with the Original Omnitrix. If he can turn into one there is a good chance he is from my universe and is in the same position I am." Ben thought out loud.
"Hmm, Alan did say he wasn't from this world when we met him, but we assumed he was joking." Penny spoke up.
"What else can you tell me about him?" Ben asked as Penny pointed to the Ultimatrix which beeped again at Penny getting close to it.
"He has a badge with that symbol on it." She said pointing to the Universal symbol of peace from my universe, the symbol the Plumbers use.
"That confirms it then, I have to talk to Azmuth immediately." Ben said, a small smile on his face as he felt he was finally getting somewhere to going back home.
"Ben waits!" Penny called out as Ben rushed into the elevator and hit the 10'th floor button.
"Apologies for Ben's haste, would you like a tour of the campus? I would be happy to give you one personally whilst Ben sorts his stuff out." Professor Ozpin offered as Penny felt a bit confused at why Ozpin was trying to make sure Ben didn't follow however she didn't prod further, there was no need.
"Of course, I would Professor." Penny smiled as the two entered the second elevator.
