A few days would pass as Alex just couldn't get what had happened off his mind.
Naturally Alex just had no way of figuring out why his father was still alive.
He vividly remembered having delivered a deep and large slash on his back alongside his mom's as the two fell limp onto the ground.
Even if he would've been extremely tough and durable, there's no way anyone was surviving a slash like that.
If he had survived the initial slash, he still would've eventually passed out from blood loss.
With his father being alive, Alex began to wonder if his mom was alive and out there as well, however he quickly put that thought away since he knew that would've been way too good to be true.
Eventually, Alex just gave up on pondering this over as the only thing that mattered was being prepared for their upcoming clash on New Year's Eve.
This whole ordeal made Alex forget for a moment what he was supposed to be doing next week on Christmas as he had that meeting with Yae's subordinate.
While he was initially free to meet them, Uni had told Alex the prior day that they were gonna have at last minute Christmas party at Lastation's Basilicom.
Alex didn't really feel like going as he had too much on his mind however he felt like it would've been best if he went just to clear up his mind a little.
Currently the boy was sitting on the couch as he sighed after his realizing how busy he was gonna be these last two weeks.
"How am I gonna manage this? I got a party that I know will last into the night but I also got someone to meet on the same day. I can't just tell them to reschedule that'd be rude." Said the boy pondering to himself.
As if on cue, Alex's eyes noticed a pink flash and he looked up to see pink Sakura Pedals swirl around him as the area as Alex stood up and turned around to see Yae standing there, as she wore her mask again.
"Good afternoon Alex."
"What's with the mask? You've already shown me your face."
"If you recall, my face seemed to have caused a negative reaction in your psyche. As a precaution, I feel like keeping the mask on to avoid that."
"Fair point. Anyways, what're you doing here Yae?"
The fox girl would sit on the couch and motioned for Alex to sit with her as he did.
"I hear that you'll be attending a party on Christmas Eve?"
"Y-Yeah I'm sorry. I know I have to meet your partner but my girlfriend invited me and I couldn't say no to her. I understand that may have put a slight dent in theit plans right?" He asked as Yae simply shook her head no.
"Not a dent more so as a slight hiccup. We've already made an adjustment." She said.
"What is it?"
"Next week, you'll go to your Christmas Eve party. After that's done, head to the location of the meeting. They'll meet you there at 12 AM sharp. Is that understood?"
"They're seriously willing to meet me that late? Man. Alright I understand."
"Good. I'll be leaving now. After that's done, we'll meet again as friends Alex Mustang."
Yae then stood up placed a hand over Alex's eyes as after a bit, he felt the hand move away as he opened as eyes to see the fox girl gone only with a small patch of sakura pedals left.
Alex simply leaned his head back.
'My father can wait. Right now, I gotta focus on this meeting.'
