Upon hearing her voice, Alex was initially intimidated as her knew he had to say the right words as to not piss her off and blow this one oppurtunity he had.

"Um, Ms. Jackie? I'd like to know something."

"What is it?"

"That news headline I saw today. What's up with that?"

"What you see is what you get. It's genuine. Not fabricated."

"You do realize what will happen right? To all these people?"

"Obviously I do. Thing is, I never wanted it to get to this point. I assume Uni's probably told you everything by now right?"

"Yeah. She has."

"All I wanted to provide was a home for those who didn't wanna be governed by a single goddess. People who wanted something more natural and at home. It was never our intent to become enemies with Lastation. In actuality I wanted to establish a strong and friendly connection between us as neighbors. Unfortunately, that didn't come to pass. Peace talks died out, and then they attacked my people and refuse to take blame for it. I've let many things they've done slide by, but them hurting my people is going too far."

"I understand how you feel. You have every right to be pissed off, but please. Declaring war is a big leap in judgement."

"Alex. Their assault on my convoy injured three of my men and killed one of them. At this point judgment has been thrown far out the damn window. If they wanna get blood on their hands to protect an imaginary line on a map, then so be it. I'll have to do the same. Ms. Black isn't fit to be a goddess. Therefore, she must be replaced."

"Jackie you can't do that. There's a ton of people that firmly believe and put their faith in her."

"I understand that however she brought this on herself."

"Please. At least reconsider o-or at least, is there something I can do to soothe this over?"

"Alex. I already went through this with Uni. The answer is no."

"Come on! There has to be something! Anything! Please!" Begged Alex.

Jackie had an annoyed sigh and had a feeling that unlike Uni, Alex was gonna be a lot more persistent than her.

"Alright you know what? Here's the last ounce of gratitude I have left. Clearly I'm not gonna be changing my mind. However, this is one person whose mind you can change."

As soon as Jackie said that, Alex internally dreaded as he knew who she was getting at.

"Jackie. You know how hard that's gonna be."

"I know. You seem desperate to prevent this so now you're gonna have to go through what I did for months. You're gonna go and get Noire to back down and apologize for what they've put us through. Only then will I call off the war. And I wanna hear it from her. If you don't call me by midnight, then you better move out soon. Good luck."

Jackie would hang up the phone as Alex groaned and sat on the couch.

He knew he had to do it, however this was gonna be a herculean task to overcome.

That and he didn't have much time to waste.

Alex would leave the apartment and got on his bike as he called Uni and told him to meet up at the bottom floor as he drove his way over to the Basilicom.

Once he made it, he saw Uni approach him as he got off the bike.

"How'd it go?" Asked Uni.

"She gave me a chance. Only one, to stop all this."
