After our talk, Flynn takes my hand and we drive home together. It's strange, to think of his home as my own now. But the feeling was right. I was comfortable there. More comfortable than I've ever been. And when we arrive, the house is loud, filled with chatter as Collin, Ricky and Zander crowd the living room.
"Hey guys." Ricky waves at us from the couch.
"Where's Zane?" Flynn asks.
"He's up in his room. Hasn't gotten out much."
"Flynn you promised we'd get ice cream." Zander mentions.
"I know Zander just let us hang out for a bit."
"What were you two up to today?" Collin chimes in after getting up from the couch.
I wait for Flynn to answer.
"None of your damn business." Flynn said with a playful shove. Collin takes this as an invite to start shoving him back and they end up tackling one another.
They start to laugh as Zander joins in on the fun.
"Why don't you join them Romee?" Ricky teases.
"I'd rather not end up with another sprained ankle or worse." I make my way around the coffee table and collapse on the couch with Ricky.
"So how are you feeling after last night?" He asks.
I shrug my shoulders without another reply. He's quick to catch on. I wasn't in the mood to talk about anything relating to my brother.
"Knock knock."
We turn our heads to watch as the front door swings open. Harley steps inside with a large grin on her face. That is until she finds me in her clothes. Why does this happen every time?
"What the hell are you doing in my shirt?" She scowls. Her face completely changes the closer she gets as she finally realizes I had her entire outfit on.
"Relax." I say. "Flynn let me borrow them."
"You've got to be joking."
"Those clothes have been sitting in my closet for months." Flynn tells her. He stands up and dusts off his jeans.
"Flynn. Can we talk for a minute? In private." She says through gritted teeth.
Flynn rolls his eyes before leading her upstairs.
Collin and Ricky start to giggle.
"Are they—"
"A thing? No." Collin objects. "God she wishes. Trust me she's tried to tie him down for years."
"So what, is he just leading her on?" I ask.
"Flynn doesn't have time to be leading anyone on. He's told her how he feels. She's just too damn stubborn to let him go that easy."
I subconsciously frown at the thought of the two of them together. I find it hard to believe Flynn wasn't attracted to her. Harley was beautiful and she fit right into his group of friends. I'm also positive they've hooked up. Why else would he have her clothes inside his bedroom?
Their conversation lasted a whole thirty minutes and I couldn't help but wonder what they talked about for so long. When the two of them came downstairs Harley gives me a nasty look. She made herself comfortable on the couch which suggested she wouldn't be leaving anytime soon.
"Hey Collin." I said approaching him in the kitchen.
"Hey Romee, everything okay?"
I look over my shoulder, making sure no one was listening.
