billie's pov -
"ready for opening night?" zoe smiled.
"yeah i'm pumped," i nodded. "just talked to lani and she was hyping me up."
"that's good," zoe nodded. "i'm glad you guys are both able to do what you love while supporting each other."
"me too," i agreed. "she's the best."
zoe nodded before saying "hey don't you have your first therapy session?"
"yeah it's actually in 10 minutes," i chuckled. "so get out."
i went on my laptop and got onto the therapy website. when i logged into my account, i saw i had message from my therapist.
it read : 'Mrs. O'connell, I am having a family emergency and I am not able to join our session today. However, I have assigned you another therapist to make up.
I apologize for the inconvenience.
- Lisa Bridges."
i just rolled my eyes and sighed. "that's just great," i said to myself.
i joined the therapy session via video chat and waited for the other therapist to join in.
after about 2 minutes, the therapist joined and...
i'm sure you guessed it.
"hello ma'am i'm dr. butler and- oh my god," hasson's eyes got wide.
right along with mine.
"billie?" she furrowed her eyebrows. "what the hell?"
"oh hell no," i shook my head.
"damn," she started. "lisa told me to fill in for her but she didn't give me a name. i would've told her no."
i scoffed. "well don't worry cause we can end it right here."
"well wait. i mean do you actually need some therapy right now? cause i can't find you another one this last minute," hasson said.
"no i'll be fine-"
"billie," she started. "i know we've had our differences but if you genuinely need someone to talk to-"
"it won't be you," i looked at her like she was crazy.
"why do you need therapy billie?" she rose her eyebrows. "what's happening in your life right now?"
"hasson-"
"it's about leilani?"
"i'm literally not speaking on that with you," i shook my head.
"i know it must be about her," she tilted her head. "i've seen her posts about her being sick. im sorry for what you guys went through."
