"Aaah$)!$(%*!)+Ack!"

"What $#)!%O!%#0_!"

"H-His Imperial Highness the Second Prince $1)%(!%)!*()%!"

Unaware of his circumstances due to the scroll's strange sensory alteration, Shade could only stare at Reynos before him.

Black aura enveloped Reynos, and dark scales began to sprout on his face.

The hand gripping his sword turned calloused, and his nails grew long and sharp.

'Finally!'

He felt a rush of joy shoot through his body. Finally, in front of everyone, he had turned into an evil dragon!

Technically, he hadn't turned into an evil dragon, but rather a fake one covered in illusionary scrolls, but that didn't matter.

After all, many people were watching this scene right now. If he didn't have eyes to see, he would have laughed out loud.

But alas, that was not to be, so Shade pointed his sword at his brother with a look of dismay on his face and shouted.

"Brother!"

"%*O$!_+*&)"

Reynos attempted to call out, his voice taking on an animalistic sound instead of coherent words.

Shade suppressed his laughter, clutched his stomach, and spoke loudly enough for the entire hall to hear,

"You are in danger, put down your sword now!"

"$&*)$!)%#!!&?"

An unintelligible language came out of Reynos's mouth.

"%!&)*%!($&)!"

He looked around at the stunned crowd as he spoke the strange words, then pointed his sword at Shade.

In Shade's eyes, it looked like something grotesque, like a lizard man, was pointing a sword at him. Perhaps the crowd was seeing the same thing.

"&%!)%!!%!!!"

"%&!^_(!_(!!!"

For some reason, the voices of the crowd shouting at him sounded muffled, like Reynos'.

Perhaps the excitement had gotten the better of him and his hearing was a little off.

Clearing his mind of unnecessary distractions, Shade looked around the crowd and shouted.

"Bring Lady Puritina to me! Find her, no matter what it takes! Despite her violation of the detention order, I will not hold her accountable in this emergency situation! Hurry, and in the meantime, I will restrain him!"

"..."

"Duke Justice and Little Marquis Lavirins, do not intervene, for I must bear this burden alone, and I will not let harm befall my brother's body! You there, find Lady Puritina by any means necessary! Hurry!"

He gestured to the henchman he had talked to about bringing Tyriel.

But the expression on his face was dazed. It looked like he was stunned, or like he was wondering if this was a good idea, but his indecision angered Shade, who bellowed, "Hurry!" and he scurried away.

Thinking that everything was going according to plan, Shade blurted out.

"As the first deputy of the Sun God, and under the protection of the first Argentime Emperor, I will not waste my life and stop you at any cost!"
