Reynos promptly kicked me out of his bedroom.

In retrospect, I realized that I had not only allowed him into my own bedroom, but I had also been seen by him in my night clothes on multiple occasions.

Is that all? After all, we used to share a bed.

But isn't it a bit unfair for him to dismiss me so abruptly?

So, with a slight pout on my lips, I lingered and waited. Eventually, Reynos emerged from his room, wearing a lightweight shirt.

I grumbled about his choice of attire; he could have just come out in his pajamas.

"Sorry."

Reynos's earlobes turned a shade of red as he apologized, avoiding direct eye contact.

"I thought I was still dreaming."

"What on earth were you dreaming about?"

"..."

His expression slightly tensed, and then the color returned to his earlobes. Evidently, it must have been related to our shared past - a natural assumption would be that he dreamt of my demise or something of that sort.

It appeared that Reynos's current condition was more a result of his excessive use of the demonic dragon's power coupled with Knox's abilities, rather than merely stemming from emotional wounds.

'In a word, mental exhaustion.'

I gazed into his weary eyes, attempting to offer comfort.

"Your Highness, please rest assured. I have no intention of leaving you, not like in my previous life."

Reynos's face became contemplative. 'How much do you know?' he asked, his eyes wavering, so I answered him honestly.

"I think I know most of it, except for what happened in my previous life."

"... Did the spirit tell you?"

"No, I found out on my own, and I got permission from Your Highness to find out."

"I did?"

"Yes."

Reynos looked confused.

He kept muttering to himself, "When did I say that?" as if searching his memory, but of course he can't remember, because it was a consent to be blown off by an irrational Piik.

I slipped into the seat next to Reynos and ripped open the wrapper of the health food I'd brought with me. It's not often I get to do this, so I've carefully selected the most bitter things I've ever eaten.

I took out the worst of them and fed them to Reynos. Reynos's eyes immediately widened as he ate it. He couldn't bear to chew and looked like he was asking what the hell I fed him, but I shook an empty shell to him.

"Something Your Highness gives me often."

"...!"

"You can't leave it behind, okay?"

What followed was a parade of Reynos's dietary supplements.

I generously placed the contents of what I had brought into Reynos' mouth. The herbs had been specially brewed with the assistance of a servant and then handed over to Reynos.

Taking the bowl of medicine with hands that trembled slightly, he shot me a glare. His expression seemed to question whether he really had to consume it, but I gave an affirming nod.

"I've taken it as well."

"..."

"Eating this is for your health."
