Pieces Of Time (5 Seconds Of Summer)

Seven-

Days were edging closer to the gig. Days were edging closer to Christmas. 

I laid in bed staring at the roof. What to do today, was literally the only question on my mind, and I had absolutely no answers. 

Pulling myself out of bed and getting changed I made my way downstairs.

Both Mum and Dad were at work today, and I pretty much had the whole house to myself until late this afternoon.

I shoved my iPhone into my radio dock,  Dammit by Blink started to play, I grabbed the remote and turned it up, surely no one would come complaining at eleven in the morning?

Opening the fridge i grabbed the milk, the the box of coco pops out the pantry before pouring them both into a bowl.

Spoonful after spoonful I plowed through the bowl of chocolatey goodness, draining the milk in one big gulp at the end.

Grabbing my phone out of the dock, I switched it off and grabbed my keys before making my way out the door.

What do I do today?

I found myself walking down the path and out the front gate, walking straight in the direction of house number 32, Aurora's.

Quickly brushing myself down as I got to the door I rang the doorbell and waited.

No answer.

I took a deep breath in as I rang it again. Please say she was home.

I was just about to leave when I heard footsteps coming down the stairs.

"Fyn! Couldn't you have at least answered the door?" I heard a voice from inside.

Only one person.

"Hello?" a voice asked as the door opened.

"Hey", I smiled.

Aurora stood infront of me, pajama shorts and a singlet on, she look like she'd just ran out of the shower with her towel on her head.

Her face lit up when she seen me.

"Hey!" she smiled, "Come in".

"Hey dude", Fyn said as we walked into the lounge.

I nodded and smiled as I sat down.

"I'll be back", Aurora said, before rushing back upstairs.

"Wanna shot?" Fyn asked before passing me the xbox controller.

I guess I didn't have a choice.

Ten minutes of intense gaming later and Aurora was back.

"Lets go out", she smiled.

I put the controller down and smiled. Her long hair was down, still wet. She had denim shorts on and a loose white singlet on.

We said goodbye to Fyn before walking towards the door.

"I was thinking of going to the park?" Aurora asked.

"Can I bring Tillie?" I asked, referring to my Maltese I had.

"Well I'm bringing Henry then", Aurora smiled, grabbing the leash of the hook on the door.

I quickly ran back over the road home before grabbing Tillie and meeting Aurora back on the path.

"She's so cute", Aurora cooed, bending down to give Tillie a hug.

I could say the exact same thing about you Aurora.

Once we got to the park we let both dogs off the leash for a run. It was a dog friendly park, so it didn't matter letting them off.

"Aw, look", I said pointing to the dogs, "They're playing chasey".

Aurora watched for a moment before turning to me, "You're it", she grinned before tapping me on the shoulder and running away.

I remembered the times when we were younger and how we'd play things like this. Like the time we did, and I tripped and burnt myself on the road.

I smiled, as I began to chase after Aurora.

"Nah nah nah can't catch me", Aurora pouted as she stood in the distance.

"Wanna bet?" I smirked, running up, I went around a bush where she couldn't see me.

"Michaaaaaaeeel!" Aurora called out.

"GOTCHA", I said leaping out from behind her.

Aurora jumped, as I went to tag her, both of us tripping on each others feet.

We laid on the ground, both out of breath.

Rolling over, I could feel Aurora's slightly still wet hair tickling my face, whether my heart was racing because i was out of breath or other reasons who knows.

Closing my eyes and moving slightly, i lent in and pressed my lips to hers.
