"Clouds are such a funny thing", Aurora muttered away.

"Huh?" I asked, we were lying down together on my front lawn, Aurora's head slightly on my chest, it was quite a warm day, New Years Eve was in two days and Aurora and I were going to Shanee's party together.

"Like they can just be anything, anything you want them to be", Aurora continued.

"You're an odd one you know?" I said looking down at her.

"What? what was that you called me Clifford?" she asked raising her head and looking directly at me.

"Odd, and you are, but don't worry, it's cute", I smirked back.

"Well it's gonna have to be then", she claimed.

I pushed my self up slightly just close enough for my lips to brush hers, she pushed me back down placing both her hands on either side of my head before pressing harder into the kiss.

"You're beautiful", I said breaking the kiss.

"Hey", she said tapping her finger on my nose, "less talk".

I smirked before pulling back in for another kiss.

"You know what", Aurora said this time breaking away.

"I thought you said less talk", I reminded.

"Yeah well", she said biting her lip, "anyways, I'm really excited to go to Soundwave with you, like really really excited".

I knew how much going meant to her, she'd mentioned it before in conversations how she wanted to go but missed out on the tickets and now she'd gotten them for Christmas and had someone to go with she'd never been so happy, and I wasn't going to lie when she'd asked me i'd done my own little happy dance.

"You also know what", Aurora said propping her self up more, "you still haven't sung to me like you said you would".

"I....", I paused for a moment, why hadn't I done it yet?, "Let me go get my guitar", I said hopping up.

I ran inside and up to my room, searching around for my guitar. Finally finding it in the corner by my bed I grabbed it before stopping. My friendship between me and Aurora was something I didn't think would ever come this close but now that I think of it it's something I can't really think of my life with out her now as cheesy as it sounds.

"Michaaaaaael", I heard Aurora yell from the distance.

I grinned to myself before running back down the stairs, guitar in hand.

"About time", Aurora pouted propping herself up on her elbows.

I smiled at her, "Had to warm up the vocals, you know how it is".

"Oh do I Clifford?" she teased, "Gosh I forgot what it was like when you're a professional singer, don't want to pull a chord".

Sitting down resting my guitar on my lap she watched me, "Better watch your mouth miss, I could sue you know".

"Oooo, don't think I could possibly afford that", she giggled.

I took a deep breath in and Aurora paused before starting to watch as I started to strum a few strings.

"Wait", Aurora got up.

"Hey were you going?" I pouted.

"I'm getting something, won't be long", she winked.

I watched as she walked from my front yard and crossing the road. How had I not noticed before how well she'd pulled off them shorts with her long tan legs?

"Don't be too long!" I yelled.

Aurora spun around on the spot in the middle of the road, "Oh I wo-" but she never finished her sentence as an ear piercing scream that could've been heard from the other side of Sydney filled the street.

I jumped up in shock, I heard it before I'd seen it even happen.

The last thing I remember was yelling Aurora's name out as I ran out to the road.
