Adam finally dropped us off close to middnight.
"I hope you had a good time tonight, except everything that went on after", I said as we walked down the path towards Aurora's front door.
"That was nothing, seriously I loved it!" she exclaimed.
I smiled to myself as she stopped, infront of her front door on the porch, dimly lit from the few christmas lights Mr Tucker had put around the yard
"I want to hear you sing more", Aurora puased for a moment, "you should sing for me sometime".
"We'll have to see", I smiled.
Aurora wrapped her arms around my neck as I placed mine on her waist and burried my head in her shoulder.
"Christmas is soon", Aurora said.
Not going to lie when I say I'd completely forgotten about Christmas in the next few days.
"I forgotten all about it", I mumbled into her shoulder.
"You're gonna have to come see me", her warm breath tickled my neck.
"Of course", I beamed.
The front porch light flicked on and we both pulled apart, and as if right on cue the front door opened and Aurora's Mum popped her head out.
"I was just making sure it was you guys", she smiled.
"Yep Mum just us", Aurora smiled back before turning to me, "Well thanks again for tonight".
"Not a problem at all", I smiled back.
"Night Michael".
It wasn't until I woke up the next morning it hit me. Shit. Christmas presents.
I hadn't gotten Aurora one.
"Muuuuuuuuuuuuum!" I yelled walking down the stairs.
"What?" She yelled back from the lounge.
"I need you to take me into town", I said walking in to find her watching t.v.
"Okay", she replied not taking her eyes off of Karl Stefanovic.
Hours later and I was walking through the shopping complex completely stunned for ideas.
Clothes? No. Nan got my cousin Lucy clothes one year and you'd swear someone have just shaved all her hair off in her sleep. Worst present ever.
Jewellery? No. Not when you have a bank balance like mine.
Music? But what if I bought her something she already had? What if she just went and returned it anyways. Ugh.
I sighed slumping off towards the main doors.
Why was shopping so hard? Why were girls so hard to shop for? Ugh.
"Did you get anything?" Mum yelle out as I walked through the front door.
"No", I mumbled.
"Oh, thats no good", she paused, "hey can you make up that CD for Gran to put on for lunch?"
Thats when it clicked, what better then to make Aurora a CD, then she could have all her favourites, there was nothing ever wrong about a mix tape, I wouldn't even have to worry about her going back to exchange or refund it.
"Yeah", I replied running up the stairs
Jumping on my desk chair I started up my laptop as I looked through my draws for my blank CD's.
Looing up I clicked onto my itunes and looke through the artists.
Oh man.
Thinking my hardest to back of what Aurora had postered on her walls, I flicked through the lists.
In the end I manage to narrow it own to 21 songs from artists such as All Time Low, Busted, Blink and a few more, adding in two of our songs from our band I hope she'd like.
Finally finishing I pulled the CD out an grabbed a red sharpie and labelled it, "Pieces".
sorry this too forever to update, i was stuc for filler chapter ideas before the big part coming up, i hope you enjoyed it even though it was pretty average, thanks for all the reads and votes! x
