⁶²⁰Vegas x Pete⁰²⁶

Vegas was shot and rushed to the hospital by Pete, who cried the entire time, but before he got the ambulance, Pete had shot the person who shot Vegas first.

A month later, in the hospital. <when Vegas woke up>

"Why? Why are you still here?" Vegas said with a bit of sadness in his eyes.

Vegas had looked in the eyes of Pete, who stood by his hospital bed. Pete had then sat down again and just simply smiled and said. "I'm following my heart, and my heart is in you, and with you." Pete had then grabbed Vegas' hand in his own. "I'm not going to run away again, I'm here to stay. I need my heart, so im staying with you because, as I said, you are my heart." Vegas had tears well up in his eyes that were almost about to fall, but Pete had wiped them away just as they were about to fall all down his face.

"I'm here because I need you, I'm staying because I want to, and I'm here by your side because I choose to stay." Pete had tears, sad tears, happy tears, but just simple tears falling down his face as he said those words, looking deep into Vegas' eyes with his own. Vegas knew by then that Pete' word are true because the way Pete was now was all Vegas could see and hear. His heart raced so fast in his chest, and the smile that Pete finally let out was all that made Vegas smile back.

"You're staying with me?"
"I am because I love you, and I get that's a bit hectic on what we have been through, but I love you, Vegas." And for the third time today, Vegas had cried again.

Vegas knew thinking what he had been this entire time was no longer a problem for Pete because Pete had chosen Vegas over his work, Pete chose love over anything and he chose to follow his heart and his heart is Vegas.

Pete had been at the hospital with Vegas since he went in, and when he came out. Pete stayed along side Vegas for a majority time of a month because when Vegas went into the hospital Vegas had not been awake for 2 weeks, and then the next 2 weeks he had woken up with Pete and Macau in the room talking with one another. Vegas smiled, seeing them both their.

The month in the hospital.

For the first week of Vegas not waking up, Pete had looked after Macau and also simply stayed right their in the hospital room with Vegas, wishing and hoping for Vegas to wake up. Vegas was in and out of difficulties but managed to be okay in the end, except he still had not woken up.

The second week came along, and Vegas had improved a lot and Pete was told Vegas might wake up soon, and sure enough, he had woken when it was only Pete in the room with him.

Then they spoke together.

The next 2 weeks went by so quickly.

Pete stayed alongside Vegas to care for him and love him but to simply give Vegas a home and a sense of love. Vegas thought that what was happening was a joke, but knowing that Pete was their for him and no one else made this more emotional to himself. He appreciated the fact that Pete was their for him, while also being their for his little brother Macau.

It was now their last night at the hospital. Meaning tonight had been a month since Vegas ended up in hospital.

Vegas and Pete had been sitting on the hospital bed for the last night and Vegas then breaks down because Macau had gone home with Kinn for the night and so Macau would be with Chay,Porche and also the rest of them at the Major families home.

Pete and Vegas sat side by side, and Vegas cried. He cried so loudly but so emotionally that it made Pete worry and cry, too.

Vegas then speaks while sobbing slowly with unsteady breathing. And Vegas says, "I'm sorry Pete, for everything i put you through. I'm sorry i was the cause of you hurting and crying and not being able to be okay. I'm sorry for hurting you for the sake of it." Vegas then stops and cries more and then pulls Pete into him because looking in the eyes of Pete made it a little harder to say what he needed to. Vegas then holds Pete close to his chest and cries but then continues to speak the words he needs to.

"Pete, I'm glad you chose to stay by my side. I love you, Pete, and saying that now is one of the most hurtful and truthful things I've said my entire life. I love you deeply and unconditionally, and i know i will always love you."

Pete tries pulling out of Vegas' hold, but Vegas tightens his hold.

"Vegas, love?" And that little nickname pulled Vegas away from him, and finally Pete could see in the eyes of the guy who hurt him but who opened his heart up, he saw the guy who he had fallen for since their first ever encounter, and that had been when Pete ended up becoming a bodyguard for the major family.

Pete and Vegas had been through so much and even though it wasnt good things, they found a way to stay together as one, but that meant that Pete had to leave his current job and he did not have to think of it at all. Pete chose Vegas because he held so much love in his heart that he knew Vegas needed. Pete wanted to be the love that Vegas and Macau never got, and so he gave up his bodyguard job to be with Vegas. Pete and Vegas held each other tight for their last night at the hospital and fell asleep together.

The next morning, Kinn, Porche and Macau including the bodyguards all went to the hospital to pick up both Vegas and Pete to take them home, but Kinn adn Porche had moved Vegas and Macau in witht them.

Once Vegas was home, all he wanted to do was be left alone, and that's what he got.

Vegas went to his room and stayed their, no noise, no distractions, just himself.

"Vegas, you okay? Want any company?" Pete says outside the room door. The door then opens, and Vegas is seen with tears running down his face again, Pete pulls him in, and they are standing their in the hallway holding each other. "Love, you are home now, come on, everyone is waiting, we made food for your welcome home get-together. So, Pete holds Vegas' hand in his, and they both walk back to the kitchen, and they are greeted with smiles by Kinn, Porche, Macau, Chay, and the rest of them Vegas felt at home for the first time in his entire life, that it made him too overwhelmed to take it all in.

He had no idea everyone would care and love Vegas for all that he and, done but, here he is amoungst everyone who is their for him from now on.

Everyone invited him in with open arms, and he finally accepted it.

Vegas now had a home and people who actually care for him. He saw his brother happier than he ever has been and saw the Macau had two boyfriends, meaning he had missed quite a bit but he knew he would be told about everything that happened when Vegas ended up in the hospital because he was shot. Macau was looked after so well, and this time, it was Vegas' turn to be looked after.

A few months went by since Vegas came home, and yeah, he went back to being the same asshole type he was but without actually meaning any of what he says. This time, he had a family that loved him for who he was. And he also has a boyfriend who has been with him since he quit his job.

"Love, you alright?"
"Yeah, I'm good now that I have you in my life. So,
thank you for loving me the way I am."

Vegas and Pete settled in at the Minor families home after it was all repeated and safe enough for them to live in it. Macau, Kim, and Chay also went their too.

The major and minor families stuck together after all that they had been through. They were officially happy together.

Vegas was happy he got his happy ending with Pete.

"Pete, babe."
"Yes, love."
"I love you."
Pete'tears then fall down his cheeks.
"I love you too, my love."

Happy endings do happen, but with the right people.
